Just call the new sled SRX and make it bad@$$. I don't think the 2 stoke will be back. So either supercharge the new 4 cylinder 4 stoke or turbo. Lighten up the weight and let her eat.
did Yamaha make a two stroke yet? Still time 2017 is a ways away...

What a sled THE SRX ! I have a 1997 that was set up professionally like it , my first sled it's down now with blown cooler !

Triple piped, jetted, I remember doing 110 not even TRYING , it's for sale now either for parts or a project sled that needs front cooler !
Maybe the future of Yamaha is the Vintage Sleds 
, Just keep the power house 2 strokes going .. you really can never go wrong with them. Still love the Vmax 540, Vmax4 800 and my 2000 SRX.
