belt seem to be riding where it should, but I may try that anyway
i had a bad belt once and it was hitting 9k on rpm. What rpm are you turning now with the new belt?

That's a little low. Is that a new belt and do you have the shim washers on the three bolts on the back of the secondary? If not, the putting the washers on would probably bring it back up enough. Should be a little above the secondary.

I thought as much. Both belts are old. Bolts had the shims already,I added another and got a slight bit better height out of it. Looks like a new belt is in the future!

new belt is about 4-5 mm (if I'm remembering correctly) wider than the old ones. now if I can get some decent snow to test it
