I had a couple do that on both my sleds. I just loosened and retightened and it was good to go. I don't think I had them clean enough.

yup re torque, or if there is a copper washer under there, take it to some emery cloth to clean it up.

2 stage torque?

yes, 2 stage torque. and it does have the copper gaskets
I had the same issue. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the optical gaskets. It seemed to happen right after I changed to the opticools. I also re-torqued and for the most part it went away. I had one machine I re-torqued a few times, and now I don't notice it weeping anymore.

I usually buff the washers up on a fine scotch Brite pad. And brush the mating surface on the head of the bolt with a wire brush then wipe a bit of oil on both sides of the washer. Been lucky so far with no leaks so it must work

I ran my head bolts and washers through a rotary wet tumbler with stainless pins and they came out looking great. Hopefully they don't leak.

I took them off, one at a time, buffed the washers and bolts with my dremel, quick wipe on the head with steel wool, and re torqued. Did a short 1.5 mile ride and no leaks. Asked sounds and feels amazing, really missed riding my viper these last few years!

one thing I noticed yesterday and forgot to ask about was that before the rebuild I was pulling just about perfect 8400 rpm. now goes to nearly 9000 on a wide open short blast. other than the rebuilt crank and new rings, nothing else changed. thoughts? thanks!

Perhaps the motor is set further back then before? There is a spec center of clutch to clutch.

I'll check tonight. I do get a slight whiff of belt when first taking off
Might be worth checking to see if your belt is within spec also.

distance and deflection seems right on for the clutches. I swapped the belt to see if it changes it, now to give it a run if there is any decent snow out there after all the rain we got

One other thing you can try if that doesn't work are the spacers (washers) in back of the secondary clutch.
