PowerInc Pipes for SRX

Matt get ahold of rich at rich motorsports. He knows the guys at power inc. they are still open, just not doing pipes. They are very helpful with set ups, and jetting. I had there # but lost it. Paul

I can honestly say I have only seen 1 DNR up where we ride in my life. My brother rides his SRX 600 which is extremely loud because he is running a huack howler silencer. This shouldn't be that much of a problem. Also can't be any louder then our V-max 4 with PSI pipes.

rmrider, why would there be an 8hp loss from ceramakoting the inside of the pipes? that should not change anything other than you should let the sled warm up longer.

That is what I assumed, I have never been even looked at for the noise of our sleds. I am also not annoying about it either. If I am at a gas station, I turn the sled off if it is loud and I move the sled with the least possible noise. I try to hide the noise.

My power inc pipes fit into the stock canister.....hardly any louder than stock...just a little ringing because they have no wrapping on them....before I get rid of them, if you have a chance get the stock pipes dynoed then do the power inc...that would definitely be interesting and put to rest the talk " stock pipes make more power on a stock bore 700 srx"

We dynoed those pipes on a 99 srx with a mild trail port and it made 158hp and 103 lb/ft of torque. They worked very well..always loved the PI pipes. We did run the other style of canister though and it wasn't much louder than stock.

Okay, information I have aqcuired about these pipes so far:

1. 20 pounds lighter then stock, will varify when I recieve the pipes.
2. Target RPM is the same as stock, 8500.
3. Sound will be amazing! (will get sound clip up)
4. Need to jet up (not sure how much yet)
5. They make a crap load of HP as Doc stated.
6. Bottom and mid range increase greatly and there is 4 HP more on Top.
7. Should look good when they get ceramic coated.

I am so pumped!

Any other info? Like jetting specs? Or a phone number I can reach them at? Thanks

Congrats 2000, those pipes look like new!! Can't wait till you spank my a$$ again HA HA!!! LOL.
I am not counting on beating you again! It was a fluke! lol

Anyway, I got ahold of Dave Gilberson who was incharge of PowerInc and I asked a few questions. He told be the pipes operated at 8500 RPM and the best way to get more HP out of them was to block off the hood vents so that the pipes could get hotter. He was unsure of the Jetting for it (it has been awhile since he has done this) but when I talked to Pat huack about these pipes, he said to jet 1 size fatter. I think I am going to start at 2 jets fatter to be on the safe side then jet down from there. Once I figure all of this out, I will have total knowlegde of the pipes and will be able to help others. One quick question, ceramic coating will help keep the pipes to hold their heat right? This would assist in getting the pipes hotter right? Thanks

I am getting too excited.

2000, I am gona use JET HOT to coat my new race end dumps!! I use to work at Archer Racing and thats all we used! Sometimes for COMPLETE exhaust systems. As for how they look, AMAZING!!!! all most chrome. I know you like the chrome =)

It wouldn't rob any power though right, it would technically get the internal temp of the pipes hotter because it is trapping the heat is my understanding of it. Let me know. Thanks

I don't like chrome that much.....................................
