My first sled was a 1984 Vmax, and I wish I still had it.

I was made aware that the sled wasn't mine but the whole family's. It was a 1973 John Deere 400 [340cc] and I drove it ALOT being on a farm w/ open fields. There was this one field we called the 22 acres and I think I covered every inch of it w/a 20mph limit. Once I asked if I could go faster and my father said go give 25 a try. When I came back I said it was too fast and stuck w/ the 20 [LOL]. I was 8 at the time. It was alot of fun.

Started on a 1983 Polaris Star 244 one lunger... never got it stuck cuz the thing weighed nothing and you could push it like a scooter to keep it moving. Blew that piece of shit up 2 times in one season.
Then of course because Im a farmers son I had a 440 JD Sportfire that I got to ride occasionally because my older cousins had it. I got that heavy a$$ piece of shit stuck because the motor bogged and it sank like a lead balloon. Took a skid steer to get that turd out. Thank God I didn't own this one...
I took a break for a couple years then my younger cousin bought a 99 Vmax 600. I saw it and was blue with envy... so now I had to get one. Hence the 2000 SXR...

My first sled was a 96 Arctic Cat Cougar Mtn Cat 550, I thought it was the cat's meow when we got it. We still have it today. I started ridin before that on a 295 Polaris Colt.

The first sled I had when I was 10 was about a 1960 Diablo Rouge two piece snowmobile that a trapper friend of dads left on the farm. Man that thing could cut doughnuts! Next was a 1975 colt 250 free air that went like snot for a little 250. Then I got away from it for a while until I bought a 95 XLT. I hooked up riding with a guy who had a 97 vmax 500. One day he broke his swivel end on his steering arm so we went into the yammi dealers to get another one. that was the first time I ever seen an SRX 700 and fell in love immediately. I snowchecked one that spring and picked it up Oct 98 and have had it ever since.

First sled I ever rode on was my Uncle's Rupp American, probably early 70's model and it was brand new.
First sled that was "mine" was a '73 Skidoo Silver Bullet 294, because Dad bought it and I didn't have to share the '72 TNT with my brother anymore. Yep that's me. Look at those stylish Winter clothes.
First sled I bought for myself was a '90 Exciter brand new, still have it.

My first sled was actually my Mom's handed down to me, but it was a '69 Sno Jet 292. I remember getting a scarf caught in the intake once. I passed it down to my little brother, who kept it for years. I think he put a 440 Rupp motor in when we were in high school. Then I had a '72 Lynx 292 for years. I sold it for $200 in 1981.
