Sled has been on the go, out driving shes workin nice, real nice! this is what im running: PIG fat on jetting 170's across the mains and 60 pilots. I got (2)55 Pilots for PTO and mid to put in it. He has i think 55(pto)55(mid)60(mag) and 162.5(Pto)162.5(mid) and 165(mag). He has no problams with his so i might look into getting those jets to run the same setup. he has the same pipes same sno/air conditions so it should pretty much be the same.(we live in the same town)
shes gettin LOTS of oil. Mixxed first tank heavy and tipped the oil off. clutching seems real good, Pulls so hard on bottem but can't open it up because of the detonation. Any ideas??
I am not at WOT when the Light comes on.. about 3/4 throttle then the orange light flashes. I dont think im going to ride her until the problam is fixxed, this time im going to be somewhat smart about it!
By the way ill have pics in the working log Very soon! sparkles really shine out!

Its a stock head with a Opti-cool head Gasket.

Well, i checked some old ones that i ran for about 15 minutes they are blackish to brownish on Each cylinder. I wanna work my way Down on jetting, start fat then lean it out a little..
then i fouled Mid plug, Gota love Egt's
then i fouled Mid plug, Gota love Egt's
its ok the more you will lean the more detonation you will have

k, any solutions? maybe air is getting in by the carb boots. read my other posts about the leakdown Process.

where the base of the thcylinders cut to change the port timing?What kind of fuel do you have?What kind of pipes?Are running the stock cdi box?
they are black to brown at full throttle or midrange ...maybe you can raise that needle one clip

Needle is raised one clip with no washers. just a bit richer then stock. Stock CDI, Bender Triples, cylinders are completly Stock. The gas station man didn't asked me if i wanted Reg or Premium So he put in Reg last night. I Put in Supriem today mixxed i guess with regular so im not sure if that has anythign to do with it.

i forgot to ask for Premium. it was only 20$ with mix. had half it burned in like 15 minutes as you know the piped vipers are horrible on gas. it will burn out of it soon.
do you think thats the problam? I;ve had this problam for a long time. When i had the pipes on last year she would Deto on WOT but i guess my clutching was off because it only reved till like 8,700-8,800 and i think thats where the Viper timing goes burndown

drain that gaz and put that gaz in your car lolllll and fill back that sled with premium one

ahh...... it was on like 2 Bars left until i put about 20$ equvilent to 4 bars of Premium.

You said you added alot of oil to your gas.You have to remember the more oil you put in your gas the leaner the sled will run because instead of all fuel going throught your jets now you have oil going through them and less fuel.

Yep, the more premix oil you add to the system the more you are effectively leaning out the fuel mixture aswell.
I would say the same as modsrx for right now, drain that gas, or burn it right empty, no mixed gas in oil tank. It gets plenty. Then this way we can rule out the fuel problem and get straight to it.

auji if you want to give it a little more oil for break in just adjust your oil cable it only takes a couple minutes.
