Sheer,
Were can I find out more info on the Bender oil pump set up now that Bender is under new ownership? I am righting this year off and I am not racing to put my motor back together. Since I have my sled apart, I am looking for other mods that make sense. A rear cooler for starters. Thanks, G.B.

I am not sure about Bender's status today, I have heard they are gone, no more, :whine: I bought my oil injection kit a couple of years ago from them. I do believe that I have an old Bender catalog, I'll check tonight and see if I can get you some more info on it. You can most likely buy the parts separately from a good hardware store or automotive store and install as a kit. -Ed

nope everything else throughout the whole motor was great just a siezed up bearing in the crank. cbperformance is going to fix it for $175

Hell that ain't to bad then, glad the cyl's are ok, you gota ship it out then??

Logan,

Glad to hear it was not more damage to your motor. What all does CB do for $175? Are they just replacing the one bearing, or will they check the rest of the crank out and the rods? Thanks, Brett

i guess he is going to replace the one bearing and check the other ones. it will be more if anything else is bad. i called another shop and he wanted $200 to do it and he was going to charge me $75 per bearing so it would be a minimum of $275

Thanks for the info. I will have to give them a call when I get my case split to see what bearing failed on my motor. Good luck! Brett

ya i asked the first crankshop i called what they thought about upping the oil on the viper and he said it wasn't a bad idea to up the oil a little bit on the viper.

I always hear how they sip oil,,,, but hey who knows maybe thats part
of the problem here, Yamaha wanted to be efficient on oil i think but
they got 'em to lean in my book..
