I hope so too. There have been really no expenses spared in the build this year. My account balance reflects that, and the wife reminds me of that regularly

There are a few very nice, go fast parts that have not yet arrived. I am expecting them to be in sometime this week, and I will then be able to get the driveline all together.
I am also going to get going on the hood modifications, and the paint shortly.

Ryan do you need some fuel for this season? I have about 30 gallons of 116 charged with nitrogen (fresh) I will not be racing! Tom 897 5671

Tom, care to bet a case of beer on that.....again????!!!??? 116 is too much for me. I am going to run VP C14 again this year.

Instead of brackets why not cut your spindles down. Just a thought.

I initially wanted to cut them down, but they are titanium, and it would have resulted in alot of work to do. The bottom of the arm is built up and supported where the spindle meets it, and of course the top of the spindle is machined for the steering arm. I would have been alot of work to do, and have it welded properly, so I opted to build the brackets. Also, this way, they are still designed for a viper, and can possibly be run on a viper project in the future, or to sell them down the road.

Well, it finally arrived. This is a 2009 model Proline 121" ice drag suspension that I will be running in the chassis. I had John at Proline custom cut the rear spacers so I could run only two inside rear wheels (they come with one inside and 2 outside normally). This is a very nice piece, and it only weighs 28 lbs!.

Here is the track I am running this year. It is a Camoplast Speed Belt. It's a 15x121" track, is completely flat with no lugs or clips, and weighs a whopping 17 lbs! I am going to cut the track down to 13" wide, so it should weigh about 14.7 lbs when I am done, plus the weight of the studs of course. I will be running 192 ice picks with 96 inner stainless plates (the required amount), and aluminum round washers on the outside, since two washers are 4.5 grams, as opposed to 10 grams per stainless plate. I'll get pictures up this week when I cut down the track and throw in the studs.
This should be good for a few points on the radar gun this season

New Tow Vehicle
Well, I traded in my 2007 FJ Cruiser, and picked up a new tow vehicle It's a 2008 Tundra SR5 5.7L, doublecab, pulled from the US. It has a few goodies on it.........cat back exhaust, K&N intake, towing mirrors, tri folding tonneau cover, vent visors, grille inserts, and a Line-X spray in bedliner. I will be putting a 6" Procomp lift in it in the springtime, and some 35" Mickey Thompson ATZ's for rubber, on 18's.......not until spring though.

Do you drill and lay the pattern inside out on the track i suppose?

Yup. I placed the plates on the inside tight up against the side of the lugs, marked it, then drilled the track. There is enough clearance for the 11 tooth billet Proline drivers to still sit on the track up against the drive lugs so they do not touch the steel plates and studs.

Here are the Price Performance manifolds I will be running this year, with a slight twist
Those are NOS fogger nozzles, which I will just be capping off the NOS and fuel intake ports because I am not going to run NOS this year......well......unless I get bored 1/2 way through the season But, as of now, I am not planning on running NOS. We'll leave it at that
