Does anyone know if there is a website I can go to that compares performance, weight, HP etc to other sleds? What I am trying to do is compare other sleds to my 01 SRX 700. I have sold the sled and in the market for something and not sure what I want yet. I am looking for an 03 or 04 model. I just loved the power the SRX had and want something quicker now. Not sure if I will stay with yama or try Ski-doo this time (Please dont falme me) :). I have had 3 SRX's and loved all of them. It is just time maybe to try something different. Like an example of what I am looking for is SRX compared to an 03 Rev 600 HO or 800 HO. Of course the guy at the ski-doo dealer says that 600 HO will out accelerate a stock SRX anyday. He did say on top end the SRX would take it. I told him I find that very hard to believe. So I am looking for a site where I can put in a couple sleds and comapre them. Like I do with MSN auto.

Thanks your help is appreciated

MY BUDDIE HAS AN 600 H.O AND I BLOW HIS SOCKS OFF EVERYTIME WE RACE IN ALL RANGES EXCEPT SKI LIFT!! :2strokes:

That is what I thought too. I know my old SRX would run right with my buddies 04 F7 which was quick. I want something that gives me more power than the SRX but with the new chasis for better trail riding. There are just so many sleds I do not know where to begin

I have an 05 Renegade 800ho and my previous sled was an 01 srx. The srx was faster and quicker. The ride of the Gade is worlds away when the trails are rough. On good trails I would say the srx has the edge but with any type of chop the Renegade wins hands down. Reliability of the SRX is tough to beat.

My advice to you is find a well tunes 06 Mach Z X model: positives = fast, handles great negatives = reliability, gas mileage

or go with an Attack/Apex (although not as fast as the 01 srx IMO).

Don't buy an Apex or Attak,I bought one and sold because of weight and did not like the Apex at all.!! IMO I would go with another SRX and do a suspension upgrade on it.

Too bad you couldn't find a way to put an SRX motor in a REV!! - that would be a sled - I would be curious to ride an SRX with and Expert, M-10, or EZ Ride suspension - I have had 6 SRX's in the past 7 years (still have three) and the most I have done is long traveled one - it helped, but did not make it a mogul masher by any means - if the Expert is as good as some say, I would think that would be hard to beat - I think you would feel the weight of an 06 Mach and all you would be gaining would be some top end - I would give a good look at a Nytro - sounds like they are as good as a REV with the Yamaha reliability! ;)!

For the price of these new machines today. Thats your best bet.

I should of never sold the SRX. I really did love it. The thing that did it for me was last ride of the year and we hit moggles nearly all day. Those Rev's I was riding with kept on a going a full speed over every bump. I did too but was bounced all around.

I am not willing to settle for anything less in power than the SRX.

So even if I looked at the 03 Rev 800 HO it is not going to be equal in performance to an 01 SRX?

sleds

Nothing compares to the LOOKS,SPEED,RIDE,MPG and RELIABIALTY of an SRX should of kept the one you had. IMO,

Watch out for any of the 03 and 04 800 ho`s! They have bad crank problems. I don`t think you will ever find a twin cylinder sled that matches the wow factor of the srx motor. I know i`ve riden alot of them and nothing compares.

Go for the srx, the only downside to me would be the suspension in the rough, but the benefits of it definately overcome the downside.... I can tell ya that I will never sell my srx, especially at the price of the new sleds.

My riding bud has 3 Rev's. 03 800, 05 800ho gade, 06 600sdi.
None can hang with my basically stock 02 in a drag, and certainly not top end. With the Expert in mine, I would rather ride mine in the rough than any of his Rev's, I have never been comfortable with that riding position, and the Expert soaks anything.

Thanks for everyones input. If an 03/04 800 rev can not hang with an SRX then they are out for me. You hit the throttle on the SRX and it pulls hard and keeps pulling. I know the F7's are fairly quick but have never really gotten into the Cat thing.

What would someone suggest in the Yamaha line (Besides SRX) that would out perform an SRX and handle a bit better in the bumps? Nytro? I want something that puts a big smile on my face when I hit it but is light so I can play off trail and handles nice.

Just have not done much homework on any other sleds lately. Looking at an 03 or 04.

Thanks

The guy i bought my SRX off of has a buddy that had a 800 Ski-poo and the dude with the poo never could catch his yammie, and the really funny thing is the PV's on the SRX never worked they were pulled threw.

Your gonna be hard pressed to find any sled that compares to an srx in power and handling. There are alot out there that will take the rough stuff better but your gonna give up the power.
