This is pretty basic, but make sure to check the wear bars (carbides) on the bottom of the skis. Had on brake and cock sideways. Talk about drag! Also another minor thing is to check ski toe in adjustment.

It will hold enough tension on the track as come over the drivers, you won't have trouble with ratcheting. I run about 1 and 1/2" slack in my track and have never ratcheted. Now if I was going to a longer track I would go with anti-ratchet drivers since all that would be apart anyway, but this is a quick and easy fix to ratcheting.
