Did you guys happen to catch on the history channel about what happens to the world after all the humans are killed via atonic bombs.A lot of animals survive,they skin is thicker and body doesn't absorb as much radiation as the humans.Was a cool show in the way they presented it and the facts.They start with what happens after 5 years,10 years,20,50 100,200 qnd 300 years.The animals of the world take over and prey on each other.Moss and grasses grow on roadways that once were asfalt.Houses start to collapse,nature takes them over.hi rise buildings start to decay ,concrete starts to crack and peel,steel beams rust outward ,moisture sets in and concrete pieces start breaking off.Whales multiply again because there are no more ships distressing their mating signals,cod fish grow to 3 times their size.It took 120 years after mankind was on earth and polluting, for the earth to reclaim itself from all the damage man made for the past 10,000 years.Iffel Towel collapses after about 160 years and the Statue of Liberty took the longest time to start breaking down because of the copper in it,but took some 200 plus years.After 300 years all the satellites start to fail and come crashing to earth and some pieces create fires where they crashed.Can't say it all,but the show was well done with pictures along the way throughout the show.A lot of computer animation and looked so real.Makes you wander.Imagine it took the earth 120 years to get clean again after all the pollution in the atmosphere made by humans.The only thing that wouldn't detritus the most was plastic items,but it shows how the earth had it's way of growing around and over that stuff.Very interesting show..makes you think a lot about this world we live in and what is in store for it.
Look at the Polar Ice Caps and ice braking away the size of Manhattan and braking into 2 pieces and making it's journey southward.They now showed how more ice is cracking like 180 meters wide by 36 miles long.Another big chunk will release itself.Man it is not like it was 80 degrees F. and this all happened.It is just from 1-3 degree change in temps and this stuff is happening.The earth has been pushed to it's limit and is fighting back us humans.There are more disasters to..earthquakes,tornadoes,hurricans,floods,fires,drought in some area and monsoons in others.Something is causing this change and thanks to the humans for helping out.I can't see how all this talk about cutting back emissions,greenhouse gases,carbon monoxide,will change anything now.Kind of late don't you think.You would have to take every gas operated device and stop using the,but still it couldn't reverse like in 5 years.The damage has been down.It would take a thousand years at least to reverse some of it,but as long as we humans live on the earth,,the damage is evident.There is no way this earth is going to go on to another thousand years and people will life the good life again.The next 5 years on earth is going to be very crucial.As long as China and India keep sucking up the resources and pollute big time,the rest of the world couldn't do things fast enough to reverse it.The Mega Powers win in the short run,but lose in the long one as the rest of us will to.My 2cents.
