So what you're going to do is..........
1. Bring the sled into a warm working area
2. Pull cover off the Power valve servo motor
3. Start the sled
4. (a) Turn the idle screw out, so the idle goes below 900RPM
4. (b) Watch the servo motor and make sure it turns then immediately hit the kill switch
5. Mark where it sits now
6. Loosen all the Allen headed screws (6 In each)
7. Take out (4) Allen headed screws in each PV housing
8. Slide one valve out ONE at a time, they should slide right out if maintained Properly
9. Take out remaining (2) screws to separate housings to unveil cable/PV ends
10. Check end of PV for wear/Pull through
11. Put it all back together as it came apart (If everything checks out good)
IF YOU HAVE PULL THROUGHS GET THE SS BOLT MOD DONE, OR GET NEW PV'S AND CABLES. KEEPING THEM CLEAN AND ADJUSTED PROPERLY WILL LOWER THE CHANCE OF THIS HAPPENING AGAIN!!!!
After this is all done and they're fine....... Adjust them........
1. Loosen adjusters at the Servo motor completely.
2. Get (2) 2.5 or 3mm Allen wrench (Key)
3. Loosen 4 allen headed screws
4. Place both allen wrenches between the PV housing and the CYL
5. Tighten adjust at Servo motor until the Housing tighten up on the Allen Wrenches
6. Repeat for other two Cyls
When the power valves aren't functioning there is a noticeable loss in power and enjoyment!

Where are you In Ontario??
If you don't have a clue I would advise letting someone else do it. Although it's not overly difficult at all!
It took me about 15 Mins to take apart. 24 hours for my PV to sit in a cup of cleaner. 30 mins to assemble and Adjust. CLEAN THEM WHEN THEY'RE OUT!!! EVEN IF THEY "LOOK" CLEAN!!!!

Way to far for me to help you out, LOL!
I would leave it for tomorrow after work. Leave yourself a good 2-3 hours, Because you'll clean them at the same time!

Im still lost on how the engine would be still running great with messed up pvs.. = /
The engine will run, But won't have full potential on top end. Many have no Idea they PV's are pulled through, or out of adjustment.

yea... kinda really random! since the only that that changed was the top end n not the rpms as well...

ok first how fast is 160 & 140 in mph??
& the sled should idle fine if the valves are pulled through?? is that when its running good??(idleing)..& then i would ditch the comet..find a used primary with 8dn-20's(long cover). most of us have learned from our mistakes so get out there and at least take the valves out of the clyinders & see if there pulled through?? it will help you sleep tonight.i know it will.& then when you go to clean & adjust them tomarrow take the pipes off & adjust.
