can't seem to win here.I grinded outer rivets down last night for 1.5 grams less total.Went for a run, rpm's only will go 8200 wot.Drilled rivets and dropped another 1.5 grams less total.Still doesn't rev up at wot. Total weight to begin with was 52.9 grams per weight. Now I have it down to 51.9 grams per weight. That's a total of 3 grams change. Then I went to Red spring at 80(stock) and wot rpm's is 8000 only. What the hell is going on.It still launches good, goes to 8200 with no hesitation.Guess I'll go to green spring again and at 80 wrap.Should I try my 51/43 helix again and see what happens.

you now have 14.5mm rollers in, which is lowering your shift rpms and engagement rpms. they also provide more shift force than the stock 15.6mm rollers....reason for lowerer max rpms. IMO, go back to the stock 15.6mm rollers and leave the weights alone.

mopar..I put the 15.6 rollers in last night.Still can't get my shift rpm's.That's what is bugging me.
oh oh power valve problem lollllllllllllllllll

mod...I checked power valves again tonight. They are all good and no pull thru's.I cleaned them up again also.I decided to first try the 51/43 Helix,so installed it tonight and will see what wot rpm's will be Saturday. Could the mild weather and crappy snow conditions contribute any.Funny the other day I got it up to 105 mph and the rpm's were at about 8100.If it were allowed to climb to 8500,I would of picked up more speed, and it was a mild day.I think pissing around with things is a pain.Like daman said, what's wrong with stock..it's fast enough anyways.
for sure warm day and loose snow will make your rpm to gp down ..if u try to make that sled to pull to mutch ....

i wouldn't be tuning blue with these warm temps bud...

I sort of thought that.Today it is -9 and windchill of -18C,so will try a little bit of running.Yesturday when I saw my temp. lite flash on I got a little concerned since there was no snow cooling off the exchangers on the packed trail.Been hitting off the trail into some loose snow to lubricate once in a while. We are supposed to warm up to plus 3 C. next week, but snow and cooler temps by Thursday.Hope the weekend will be cooler then.
sled should pull almost the same rpm on warm day if the trail still pack..only difference it will spin more if snow become loose so u will need to tight your secondary to slow down the shift cause your rpm will go down if its spin

daman..for a guy who owns so many sleds, but can't ride them very long..I would pack up and move to a climate where the snow remains a little longer.42 degrees..you got to be kidding me...that really SUCKS!!!!!!
We are usually good to end of March.I remember years ago sledding late into April yet, mind you the rivers weren't very safe as I found out then...lol. But I am a risk taker, and would love to find them really slushy spots to plough thru.Mind you had some hairy moments also. Now adays..I don't take them risks anymore, sleds are way to heavy now to make it thru.

Hello RIVERUNNER....I went and put in a 51/43 Helix last night at 70,Checked valves and all is fine.I took off today and did some runs. She is snappy for sure, launchesd to 8200 dead on with no hesitation at all and holds and then climbs to 8600.So I went back home to wrap to 60 with the same green spring.Still launches wicked(I love the way it jumps out of the hole)Now at 60 she is spot on and clutches are completely cool to the touch after some hard runs,so no slipping going on there.ONly thing today I did some long runs on the River and got it up to 105 mph and wot was 8500..then my Temperature light started to flash again.Same as the other day.So took it easy for a while and lunched another run and light came on again. So don't know why this is happening.May be malfunction or motor getting a little hot.Went for another 10 mile ride without any launches, but gave it good when I could and she is really snappy.I know it is mild out..like -6 C today and the snow is sugar like,so that is keeping my top speed down, but otherwise it performed well.WHY do you think my Temp. Light is flashing after hard runs, never ever did this before and coolant level is good..no leaks anywhere. With motor probably running a little hotter, probably slows me down.
Now I have stock clutch setup..8DN-20's 4.5 in both holes, y-w-y primary and 15.6 rollers. Some guys use w-w-w primary...what would that do for me..lower engagement and shift me faster I imagine..but will it lower rpm's on top at wot. By the way,my total weightwith the arms and rivets is 51.9 grams total..that sounds about right.

How does it blink? 3 times as for high water temp? You know it has many more malfunction codes built into it.

I really don't know.It just blinks steady, didn't notice any sequence in particular. So you are trying to tell me that it may not be the water temperature problem. I stop the sled and wait until it stops and go again. This is only happening at wot runs, not as steady normal ride if you know what I am saying.
