concept carbon vs modsrx


if the viper is running stock other than porting than there is absolutely no reason it should make more hp on the dyno than a srx. i understand tuning has alot to do with it all but still, viper 120hp + maybe 10hp with porting, srx 140hp + maybe 10hp with porting. no offense but i dont see the point in the vs. if they have the same mod and 20hp difference to start with.

lol... yea, good to see any Yamaha pull some good numbers, I am working on the SRX pipe conversion on my Viper and sending the cylinders down to Don P to do his magic... hopefully it will be a potent lil Viper that will surprise a few folks this winter...
 
well a viper with srx pipes and porting against a srx with srx pipes and porting, really only comes down to the tuning and porting specs. basically its the same engine. if the viper and srx have the same specs, srx will create a little more torqued.
 
viper has more aggressive porting stock than an srx so add tripples plus porting, i'm going with the viper, but yeah in the end it depends on how aggressive each is ported and how well tuned

1995vmax500le friend has a dyno in armprior.

I wonder who will pull harder. I guess it will come down to whos got the better porting. Only real difference is the heads and manifold and powervalves. AVGAS. well if u need some it will create more power but bring some jet to go with it ..if it doesnt need it it u will lost some power ...i'm just kidding i just wanna have fun :-)))..need some snowwwwwwwwwwww...bad mr viper doesnt reply here no more :letitsnow
 
The ignition system could come into play here aswell.. All thing equal cylinder porting pipes cases and fuel system, the hotter timing on the viper ignition could help it pull the bigger # on the dyno.. JMO

I would be very interested to see the two sleds run on the Dyno then the CDIs swapped between the sleds + run again!
