will be on dyno next weekend, if mod dosnt back out lol. I will be anyways
welll i doesnt want to back off but i doesnt want to remove all the rivits to remove the left belly pan ... if any other way we can do it ill be there .... i'm always sick hope to be in good shape that weekend ........
I know which has more hp is the main idea here, but I would like to know which one has more torque and where. Would like to know this as I have students at school calculate hp based on torque and engine rpm and it would be nice to have some modded 2 stroke examples to show them.

I think we may be able to remove the screw where the hood ties down and pull the side of the belly pan down anough. If not il bring a drill to remove a couple rivet.

i have to ask why Avgas. i like to run 114 in the sled for a treat but not Avgas it just has more oxyenators in it and a little more octain, would not running the 114 be better and show better numbers on the dyno ??

only if you need that much octane, running too much octane is just as bad for performance as running too little (taking a melt down out of the equation of course)
for a pump gas motor mixing avgas and premium works well. my .02
also the avgas i get is 100 octane

Avgas is not good fuel to run at low altitude. It has no lubricants in it. If you require more octane, stick with race fuels. If you're running less than 12.5:1 compression ratio, anything higher than 91 pump fuel is an absolute waste of money, and will hurt your performance because you will not completely burn the fuel. Octane is the resistance to burn. I'll never understand why people think that running race fuel will make more power. I guess it's because it is called "race" fuel.
Besides that, hurry up and get on the dyno!

sorry MOD cant get ahold of him left him a couple messages asking for his address and a time and nothing
Hopefully he will get ahold of me soon.
100low lead avgass uses lead to lubricate and I was under the impression that it lubricates better then average pump gas(I may be wrong). Jet fuel on the other hand has know lubricants and you must add oil to run it in your diesel truck.
Anyways I cant get ahold of any I took the week off work

I noticed with my atv when i was racing that using racing fuel, even lower octane(sometimes 112 if thats what i got ahold of that weekend but usually lower like 102), i noticed a hell of a difference. Alot more responsive, started alot easier, and premium pump gas would crackle and pop and backfire sometimes during low end idle when woods riding. I didnt get 1/4 of the carbon buildup in my exhaust with race gas either while didnt seem to be burning too hot either. My guess is that even lower octane race fuels will run alot better just because it is so much cleaner.

it will run better if you have the comp to run it.
