the earlier models were faster than the 80. the 80 was terribly heavy and detuned from previous years, i had one. still that is one beautiful machine.

Sorry, maybe I should have specified but when I said srx's I did not mean the 1980, I meant them in general. We just took our 77 to the track about 3 weeks ago and even though it was stock, we were getting faster striaght speeds then those heavy modded cats. Those srx's just fly!
