im going to send out a free 8" tuning fork sticker in white, silver to the best looking sx havent decided yet on who will win it= theres got to be more sx sleds out there on this forum
what if you wait a week so people who own sx's can find the thread and get there pictures posted. then maybe make a new thread with each picture and the owners name, and a poll so the totallyamaha users can vote on the best sx?? just my .02 it all sounds good on paper
thats a good idea! but how do you put all the pictures from this thread in to another one with the poll
thats the part i don't get but like i said it sounds good on paper, he he

Everyone has nice sleds in my opinion, 2-stroke or 4-stroke I love 'em all!
Regardless of what the magazines say about the new 4-strokes I think that a lot of Yamaha owners are going to hold onto their 2-strokes for a long time.
I believe this because here in Wisconsin you almost never see a nice '97 or newer Yamaha with a for sale sign in it.
Even the dealers have maybe 1 or 2 older Yamahas. Thats gotta say something...

Dont count the 2-strokes as being dead just yet. I have a very reliable source telling me that Yamaha has a 2-stroke that will meet 2006 emissions. However, they are having a hard time developing a ditchbanger chassis that is both light enough and strong enough.
I hope they get that sled worked out, the 4-stroke isnt for everyone and sno-x just isnt the same without Yamaha!
I would very much like to see Yamaha put direct injection and powervalves on the old 600 triple. That would get them is probably the 120 hp range, which is better than most 600s that are out now. If they put that engine is a chassis that is equal to the Firecat they would have something. I also think that people would line up to buy a sled like that. Ive talked to lots of people who say they like the quality of Yamahas but that they dont make a sled that can handle really agressive trail riding/ditchbanging.
Lets home it becomes a reality!

Here's my '00 SXR. Was, at one point, the Canadian Open SnoX champion. Has a full Sno-tek front end with the unequal length radius rods, custom trailing arms and Ohlins race shocks. The engine is trail ported with Power Inc. pipes (and alot of little things). I've just completed a stretch to 136" with 8" Aluminum wheels. Lots of fun!! I cannot wait to try it with the 136!!

if you find out where to get the mirrors let me know. those look awesome and they cant be too expensive.
So true if you can't stay on your side of the trail you are going to fast.
