Not bashing, but
The link in post #10 goes to the triple 300W system which is correct for a the Viper.
Thought it was 0.36~0.80
Sorry to drag this back up guys, but I guess I've fallen back into a vintage rider. You all appear to have progressed onto better machines. I ran a 1976 Moto-Ski Sonic from about 1982 till 1997. Told myself I would never run vintage again after I got a 1996 Polaris. Now I have 3 SRX 700's a Viper and a 600 Cat.
Anyway I'm trying to determine if my stator is bad on a 2002 Viper. I understand what you are saying concerning 1-2, 2-3, 3-1. What I am trying to figure out is what setting to use on my multi meter, (electrically challenged). There is 5 different settings for ohms on this thing, 20M, 200K, 20K, 2K, and 200. When I test 1-2 on the 200 position I get the only reading of .4 variable (.3 to .4 and .4 to .5) All other combinations result in no reading. ie 2-3 and 3-1 = no reading. Also, all other settings, ie 20M, 200K, 20K, and 2K result in no read for the one combination (1-2) that reads using the 200 setting.
HELP!
