AND I ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT RYAN. YOU EXPLAINED HOW THEY WORK PERFECT. ONE PROBLEM, NOT THE BOX I USE. I FOUND A REPROGRAMED BOX FOR MY 2000, PLUGED IT IN AND SLED WAS SO LEAN IT BARELY MOVED. IT WAS SO BAD, SLED WOULD RUN WITH CHOKE ON IN SECOND SETTING. POPED LIKE A POP CORN MAKER WHEN I HIT THROTTLE !!! HAD TO TOTALLY CHANGE MY CARBERATION OVER STOCK CDI TO USE THIS BOX. AGAIN NOT AT ALL DISPUTEING WHAT YOU POSTED, JUST TELLING YA WHAT HAPPENED TO ME ON A SIMPLE PLUG IN. THIS IS A 8DN-10 BOX BY THE WAY 3:16 (yammie tony)

I would agree with you here SRX700guy. If Pat Hauck thinks they can still dominate. I have a 01 SRX 700 and I have beaten alot of 03 f7 firecats in the stock class. see ya at HayDays!!
what do you expect pat hauck to say...

I'll dispute this comment. We ran in the 5.4's (either 5.43 or 5.48 I can't remember for sure) in the summer of 2005 taking 2nd place to an F7 at a NSRA sanctioned race in Rochester, MN! That same sled sits in the garage just as it came off the track.

(because your 5.48 still was not fast enough ) AND I SHOULD OF STATED I SAW THE 2001 SRX THAT JUSTIN MILLS RACED MANY TIMES RUNNING THOSE TIMES. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I ran a Firecat in 2004 when the RX-1 was classed in the 700 class still and not competitive. At that time I sold our 2001 SRX and didn't have another SRX to race, but bought it back after that and raced it again. I've raced a XC 600 as well as a Sno Pro 440 also. Heck I ran 3 different brands on the grass back in the summer of 1999 (Yamaha SRX 700, Cat 440 Sno Pro, Poo Edge XC 600)! When you travel 300+ miles one way for races you have to put what wins in the trailer to pay the bills!

were still runnin a 2001 SRX. we do excellent in all non sanctioned races- still 2 tenths behind the pros.
you need to make 190+HP to compete with a triple against 180HP twins.
57 dyno runs so far and gettin close. expect in excess of 50-75 more to get the motor where it needs to be.
If you arent puttin this kind of effort into it then theres a reason your not going to compete. We used to complain but after buyin a dyno it became real clear why we werent competing.
just guess how many dyno pulls the winner at haydays has on their motor?!
cut, weld, test, cut, weld, test, cut, weld, test........ keep repeating!!!!!
BTW- the IMP 700 record is held by a triple! 00

777, Awesome job,it doesnt get any better then that if the srx is at race weight,5.4-5.5 is gettin it done, but not enough for the firescraps, its the dang weight rule that makes the srx non lethal in "pro" racing, still a stomper at any backyard race or any race they dont weigh them for the twin weight break, a 5.5 ET will be hard to beat in a 700 stock class unless its a pro backed/tuned firescrap.

SRX verses FireCats
Princeton, MN last weekend I ran the stock 700 and 800 class and took first with three F7 in the 800 and I got hosed as the tree. The starter did not aknowledge me before i was ready and he started the tree. I would like to thank Allen Ulmer, Pat Hauck and Mauri for the success with my SRX, you guys are all great on here.
