No I never had the helix. You can't get those weights from a dealer anymore. I tried to get some from my local dealer and he said they weren't available anymoremodsrx said:u didnt put those 8bu in the box with that helix lolllll
Your dealer is wrong. I just got some a month ago...

cool at least i know it may work for what im doing im gonna try it out and go from there thanks and sorry blue im not trying to hijack...jabber800 said:Matty we tried the exact set up your talking about. It worked well but our goals where top end speed and the tranfer of weight closer to the tip gave us slightly better results on ice..

you guys think I am better off using a y-g-y or y-w-y in the primary.I have w-w-w- now with 2 eng. shims.I have the secondary set up with green at 70.Clutches are running cool.Launches to 8200 dead nuts and tops out around 8400-8500 max..I know the snow is a little on the sugar side today with mild temps..seems to hold me back just a tad..motor feels the load when I launch her..but still hits 8200 instant..wish it would snap their just a tad quicker. On harder packed stuff she fires instant to 8200 less that loaded feeling. Its just the snow conditions I know now...can't have it all.Really don't want to play with the weights and helix wrap to much. Can't win..track will still spin for a while even with studs on..I am not complaining really..it does feel good..but anything someone knows that could just give that extra little boost..
your close blue .....give him a bit more rpm

I added another .5 mm washer behind each bolt behind the secondary,my belt was down a tad from where it is supposed to be..also scrubbed and washed the drive belt as it was pretty shiny..don't want more rpm mod..rpm's are dead nuts on..I was thinkin the belt was dropping in secondary a tad fast maybe creating that slight lag.I have the tip loaded with 4.5 and a .8 g washer for a total of 5.3 g and .85 gram inner hole.I should really leave her alone for now because warmer temps are here and can't really do a good testing..If it were a little crisper out..probably would be really good.

I am really happy with this setup..gave her a lot of wot today and a lot of launches off a dead stop.Engine is not overheating in the hard pack..my scratchers are helping here. The DCS light stays completely off at all throttle ranges and hard pulls. My center to center of clutches is still 100% because I checked it tonight with the tool, plugs are burning a nice cardboard brown on all 3..the SRX even started on 1 pull today after sitting for 6 days and it was cold most of them days..and that really makes me happy since other guys are trying changing their fuel pumps to solve a hard starting SRX.Can't wait for my new Arrow ski's next week with the stud boy shaper bars.
Only downdfall to next week is that it will in the range of about 4 C and rain showers are expected... for up to 4 days...then for the weekend after colder temps come back...and to top it off my re-built motor is still all in 1 piece with almost 1000 miles on it already..must have done something right...

my engagement still seems high, took out 1 eng. shim and still have 1 in the clutch. It still will engage approx at 4300 rpm..I think I will take it out..I want engagement around 4000.Now going from www spring to a ywy spring will do what for me..slow down the shift and raise rpm's on top???? Just looking for fine tuning now.. I am thinking the www spring is good enough,it may shift a little to fast thus making belt drop to quick in secondary..perhaps just getting engagement lower will help at launch..just wandering thats all.

4500?..then I really spin the crap out of the track at launch..,with the wetter sugar like snow you can feel the motor really has to work hard..but I still am launching 8200 and climbing to 84-8500...so tony you are telling me to keep my engagement up there..I was around that mark with 2 eng. shims...wish it was a little colder, probably would of ripped a tad better..but not complaining..can't have the same set-up good for colder days and expect to be as strong on a warmer day...
