Stuck Back In Time. 3:16

Sounds like a winter wonderland. High speed trails, radar runs on North Bay. If my tow vehicle didn't get 8 mpg I'd think about coming up for the runs on North Bay. I have this disease where I can sit on a lake all day waiting to race someone, win or lose, don't care.

if some god from above decided to bring a "2013 SRX 900" (still 2 stroke of course), I am willing to bet it would be damn near the highest priced sled Yamaha would have to offer. It's 2011 now, not 2001. Money has changed durastically over the last 10-15 years. So that being said, the argument of 4 stroeks being way more expensive than two strokes, really makes little sence to me.

look at it this way..They are way to expensive for what they are used for only like 2 months of the year...The way it is going here ,this may be the first winter we get with no snow.I have been waiting 9 months already for snow since middle of last March.Winters changing and seems less and less of Snow and lack of good conditions to ride.SO..you would really be better off buying a Quad and get to use it 12 months of the year for the money you put out. Can't see paying about $20,000(tax's in) for an Apex and have it sit around like 10 to 11 months of the year. That's where it gets ridicules spending that kind of money on a sled these days.I want to get into dirt biking..seems we could ride them 12 months of the year now...and they are cheap enough to buy.I just need to ride and jump stuff..this waiting for just snow to ride a sled is getting to me already.I know of a couple of guys who bought brand new sleds..they are going ape because they still are making their payments and sleds are sitting on there trailers.
There are no open trails anywhere right now..what is going on with the weather already.I imagine the dealers don't like what they see..no snow=no sales.
My bottom line to buy a used sled is always around $4000 or less..less preferably .Crap..people are still selling their used RX1's here for nearly $6000..what is up with that???

when you own an SRX..it is for life.Got an 02 and will never let it go unless my health is gone and can't ride anymore.Smelly is part of 2 strokin..goes hand in hand..love that smell..and the sound of a triple cannot be duplicated..awesome.I would love to get my hands on a well maintained 77 or 78 SRX also...looking for one.Us older guys love old iron.its in our blood.I know there are a lot of guys on here feel the same and will not step up to 4 strokes..Once you own one of the best sleds Yamaha has ever produced..the SRX...why go any further..you own a Beast!!! and still takin on the new stuff...

Of course can't forget about the VMAX4-800..what a beautiful sled..if one would come by for a real good price in decent shape..sure would be worth buying....

Blue. It's not just you old timers who appreciate the old iron. Us young guys like it too.

Amen Blue, well said. And Vmax540, there's just something about older sleds that are just plain fun. I've put maybe 100 miles on my friends Apex and it was really nice. But my funnest trip last year was when the thermostat let go in my SRX and I had to ride my kids Bravo. 95 miles on southern Wi. trails in one night, trails were not groomed and I definitely felt it in the morning, but I was smiling the whole time.

hey..I even have a vintage AC Panthera that is 35 years old and still think it is cool to ride..light as a feather to.I just widened the ski stance from 30 to 36 inches..great old sled to ride and easy to lift up if I get it stuck..lol

Beat thy Neighbor.
I like that one, we used to piss off a lot of guys with our Enticer 340's in the tight bush trails but of course as soon as we hit the lake 70mp/h wasn't enough, lol...
Good times :)

a buddy I went to school with had a 78 SRX..that thing was fast.I know he did stuff to it.No one could beat him and I mean no one.It was one mean fast SRX..He always left us guys in the dust with our newer sleds..wicked man///
