Coming up on 14000 miles. 98 SRX, motor untouched, compression down 3 to 5the lbs. from new. Only ran yamalube. Bought this sled new and never babied it. Best sled ever!

Wow fellas! Love to hear about all of the high mileage! I remember when I was looking to buy my Viper, I was always thinking that 10,000kms or 6000miles was about as much useful life as sleds had.
Looking forward to many more years on the Viper! When I bought it, it was THE ONLY sled out there that I wanted. I loved the look of it. Now I might like an Apex though... 2 stroke it is for now!

Just remember guys we all get lucky but some of us have rebuilt motors with less km than 10000 and stuff has been beyond wear limits.......

I got a tad over 9k before the crank stuck on me. poor storage, rust in there on the plus side, with the motor aport I can still see the cross hatch pattern on the jugs
I have about 13,500kms on my 01 SRX

I have a whopping 2900 miles on my '03 Mnt Viper, lol. Several bad snow years, plus I don't care to trail ride much. Riding around here doesn't get good until there's 6' + in the mountains. Then, when there is good snow, we spend the whole day hopping from clear-cut to clear-cut hill climbing (and digging each other out), so a full day of riding ends up being 40-45 miles on odometer by the end.
Last year was bad snow year, rode once and put on 24 miles...
