your longest ride...

Norway (near Iron Mountain) to Houghton on day then back the next day or the day after.
would have been a fun time but for an accident each way. 3 sleds left. 1 returned

I think on other single day trips I've managed 300 - 400 miles a couple of times. less than 200 miles is a short day, or the trails are bad enough probably shouldn't have bothered.

Did about 200 in one day 2 years ago in the UP... started in Grand Marais, ended in Grand Marais... drove across Manistique lake twice (that's across, back, across, back...leader got lost!!) up some road, turned around, etc... so some of those miles were well travelled!! Talk about tired back at the cabin! Want to do it again, SOON!!!!

You're right, Ontario miles are shorter than UP miles. I've done the Snow Challenge loop out of Wawa in one day and Cochrane to Hearst and back in a day. In the UP much more than 250 mi is killer!

Must be the metric system LaLaLa

386 in One Day

Did it on my 1996 Ski-Doo MXZ 583. March of 1997 I took off at 10:00 am and got back at 2:30 am.

The last part of it was pretty nip/tuck. Had to get gas from a guy at a bar at 10:30 pm. Then I needed to get my last gas stop at the next bar by 1:00 am closing. Got there at 1:15 and the lady was locked up, but doing dishs. Knocked on the door and she turned the pump on for me.

Holy crap that was a pounder. This was in MN when we got like 200 inches of snow that year and it was March 15th I think.

Most likely will not repeat that any time soon. Just did 400 in 2 days and I am beat up bad.

346 miles, back before dark. Rode from munising to gwinn, down towards iron mountain, then to escanaba, and that route backwards, for dinner at the Bear Trap at 6. It was a group of three of us, trails were PERFECT, and you don't see much when you're moving along like that

400 miles , left from Home which is Lakeport N.Y. (i hate to trailer) to meet a friend at 8:00am in Cleveland decided on a long ride and went and did it....went east from Cleveland to Rome headed north around Delta Lake east around Hinkley Lake east to Statford north to Piseco Lake, Speculator Lake and north to Indian Lake. West accross Big Moose plains to Inlet. South to Old forge to Boonville, West Leydon and south to Taberg and west back to Onieda lake by 6:00am 22 hours long day a little but the riding was excellent the scenery the same, rode many trails that i only heard of.....special trail of trip was Big Moose Plains all i can say is boondocks!! the sled ran yamaha awesome 15 mpg couldn't believe it...thanks to numerous members on this website for clutch and suspension set-ups.

236 miles in the North Country of NH. Someday I will hjit 300. Gotta be mid week and during the mid winter when everyone grooms. Remember one morning in Pittsburg I whipped off about 75 miles in 1 hour and I believe I could have gone 300 plus that day, but I had to go home!! :WayCool:

Longest ride was 260 miles in maine last year....Started at Northern Outdoors, rode all over, then up one side of Moosehead and down the other...was the middle of the week and pretty much had the trails to ourselves

I have numerous 300 mile days. We did the 500 miler that Grand Marais puts on in 14 hours back in 1998. We had a 450 mile day in Ontario. We started that day in Foyleyet and ended in Hornepayne before dark in 11 hours, we went north to Timmins and on through Hearst. Back in 2002 with SRXSRULE we did 1500 miles in 5 days.

yea definately reset my record last weekend, did a little over 360 from baraga up to copper harbor, around the gay trail loop, around the phoenix group, down 3, over through bruce crossing and sidnaw, and back up to baraga. Trails were beautiful, but we had to go 30 mph for two hours because it was snowing so hard we couldn't see anything. 30 mph was actually a little too fast, but we wanted to get back. Great day all in all!

Goin for 500+ per day 3 days in a row up in northern Ontario next week.

The things some of these crazy kids talk me into . . .

Did 1037 miles in 4 days around Isabella MN. last week , last day went from Isabella to Grand Marais to the end of the gunflint trail & back 315 miles great place to go sledding ,50 mph speed limit!!!!!!!!! yeh right
