your longest ride...

Ding...that should be no problem. Those trails are wide and straight for hundreds of miles. Gets kinda boring going 120mph for 50 miles before you have to let off....lol

Biggest ride is about 350 miles in one day. Did it twice this year. It's not a big deal if the trails are fast and smooth (eastern Manitoba trails).

Did a 278 mile ride last winter in Nova Scotia Canada. It took us about 12 hours but that was with quit a few stops. We were tired when we got back but it was completely worth it!

180 miles in one day - left around 1030 am and got home around 5. stopped for gas and lunch a couple of times. I've done 130 mile trips the last couple of weekends - Me and my son go after work sometimes 90 miles in 2.5 hours only stopping for fuel. This grand marais 500 miler sounds interesting though.

We have done back to back to back 300 mile days up there several times, but this time they want to up it to 500 per day. I will need a pillow along to sleep on every break there is. This is what I get for riding with guys in their 20's.

Longest ride and one of the best

85 miles in one day, cross-country, no trails, no groomers, and very few tracks. The pics show our destination: a fjoird named Long Harbour. Its about 35 miles from river mouth to the ocean and never more than 1/2 mile across. At least 20 miles are shot-gun straight and always table top smooth. These pics were taken about 5-6 miles out beyond the general safe area. A once in a lifetime ride when ice and current conditions permit. A sled and my brother in one pic give an idea for scale:he was parked in the middle and I snapped from the opposite shore. For me, longest and best ride yet.

A bit over 300 miles in one day was the most I ever put on. Then I gave up on the high miles for quality miles.... 100 miles off trail & I am a whooped dog.... & never been so happy!

i have to go with bushman on this one.

4 or 5 years ago, we used to do 300 everyday, and often did 400 mile days.

now days i am much more happy to do 150 or so play of trail try new trails and have a lot more fun doing it, i also feel alot bette the next day.

Cool post.
My personal best was about 320/330ish Plymouth,NH to Pittsburg, NH boarder crossing and half way back to lancaster NH.
Mid winter, mid week, perfect trails.
We made Pittsburg just before lunch time (flying w/ no signs of fish police) LOL
and rest of that day kicking fun doing loops in colebrook/errol area.

Our longest ride was last year From St Germain WI to Ontongon MI through Mass City MI and home by way of Lake Gogebic MI I think we were close to 400 mi for the day. I do remember heading into Lake Gogebic was the worst for trail conditions. That is the nice thing about small group riding just two of us and other than a few 10 min on the trail stops we stopped only twice lunch and dinner. I think our total time was 13 hours. Great ride (no break downs  ).

The longest ride for me was around 500 miles in a day. We actually got from a little town about 40 miles south of Minoqua, WI. to lake Superior (Silver City )and back in a day. I was beat. We started at something like 5 or 6am and finally got back to the cabin around 10pm. It was full throttle all day with only a few stops. We were challanged, so we tried it. The next day was a 100 miler. I would do it again, though.
