What Did You Do To Your Sled Today???

I thought about mine today. I need to fix the front end from hitting a tree this winter. But, it's up north and will have to wait till after my sons open house this spring. If I had the money I would take it over and dump it off at AmatoSRX's and have him make it awesome like his sleds.

i looked at mine and reflected on my great 1/2 mile ride this season. i will soon be tearing the engine down for a mrviper 780 topend!!

Did the 3 can fogger method to all three sleds today. Thats 2 in the daughters hand and 1 in mine with the throttle. LOL! Got them all tucked away for the long summer!!!

Parked mine inside the trailer today and fogged the engine.. after a great season best in the last five years with a total of about 2800km's.

Was a good one.

Finished my waterpump install. (yesterday) Checked mail to see if my rightside bellypan arrived so I can change that. Not yet.

I pushed it to a new top speed, 200km/h (124 mph) on the dreamometer. That was 185,8 or 115 on gps.

Last week...removed cylinder head, removed PTO side broken power valve blade from cylinder, reinstalled head, installed new power valve and went for a 50 mile ride[last one for this season]

Fogged it, put stabil in the tank and put the cover on. Didn't spend as much time on it as usual cause I have to bring it downstate and work on it this summer anyway. I can check it over really good then.

I put back my stock clutching and will get a couple more rides before I tear it all down for a rebuild

More fuel map programming done on the Super Charger... working great!!

with all the time and money you put in that sled you could send it out to a company like C3 and drop 50lbs+ for a couple grand!

took of my front Ohlins and flipped the shock brackets to get more hieght,Next will be to drop the skid and install the long travel shocks, transfer rods..then re set up suspension as per betheviper...

since the weather is rainy and cool I decided to take the skid out of the SRX and switched to long travel shocks, switched w-arm(re welded and painted) switched to long travel transfer rods.Re did some of the bushings with metal strips and the whole skid is tight.
This saves me time in the Fall where I will spend time working on water pump that is leaking..always something.this is why i love the old sleds..fun to work on.What would I do if I had a new sled if I couldn't do something to it..love to tinker and that is why I will keep my older sleds.;)!

SRX work...

Removed all suspension components front and rear and totally disassembled them.
Replacing all bushings, bearings ,sliders, painting all suspension components that need it ect.
Decided to install Fox air shocks on front end as well as rear suspension shock with nextech adjustable reservoirs all around....should save approx 10lbs...still trying to lighten up this beast!
Next on the list is replacement of all seals and bearings in the chaincase, jackshaft, and drive shaft...then its on to installing new motor mounts....it never ends!
