Worst Winter Ever

Its all about perspective......According to the mayans the world was supposed to end almost a month ago....... Look for the silver linings, sometimes they are harder to find than others. We had a good foot then it got up into the 50's and rained last weekend. As I type we are back up to 6" with another 6+ on the way........Did I mention its coming in sideways right now?

I know the feeling! Last year was waaaaaay worse! Didnt even ride it

Last year I put on 1,000 miles mostly with trails closed. This time, there isn't even enough snow to ride on closed trails. Where I sled, trails have not been open in for over 23 months. Good times!!

well its gonna be a good season here ...long time since we see that mutch of snow

Before the thaw, I put on 560km on my Jeep to ride 330km for a day trip. The fuel bill in the Jeep was $130. I find it best not to keep track of how much you spend in a weekend. On a positive note my lawn is white, and to think I was debating about selling it yesterday....

The weather reminds me of the years, 79-83. Prior to 79 we always had great snow as I could remember, but from 79-83maybe evern 84 the winters were like this. I sure hope not. Hopefully we will be riding soon again. Al

Well its now -20 right now where I am. Still no snow:( trails opened up then is thawed. This weather is mangeled. Its -20 atm and its going up to +3 rain for a day then going back to -16 all in 32 hours

Nothin more yet?
I just drove through some crazy heavy snow on my way to pull my daughter out of the ditch. We didnt get much more today either, but after tomorrows warm temps it should pack into a little bit of base.
Sunday I'll be out working out the last of the bugs. :letitsnow

nope, nothing more...high of +3 today and the snow is almost gone again.

35 C windchills right now ..

man I remember fishing with a buddy on lake nippissing a few years back and it was that temp in the morning, caught a 5lb pickerel 20mins into the start of the day. I was holding it while my buddy was taking a pic and my hands pretty much froze to the fish. never felt a burning pain like that before ever! it was well worth it though even though I had to release it....1" too short. damn slot limits.https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/226414_1061169817243_2419_n.jpg

We got 15 cm last night to ad to what we had, and the trails are open again!
We r suppose to get a good dumping next week too :letitsnow

Well Blue, we do too.
Your having problems were wishing we had. No sympathy from central Ontario sledders. lol
We were left with a a few inches after yesterdays thaw, so we'll have a solid base for off trail riding, but the trails wont last long.
The temps dropped fast last night and it looks like we got a few more inches but it's hard to tell because it's drifting everywhere.
Forecast is teasing us with potentials for a couple feet.
I just want to get a couple test rides in. I think I'm going to have to take my studs out. :o|
