121 viper to 136 or 144?

Anyone know where i can find a mono 136. Been looking all around the internet and have not seen one yet. Ordering a track tomorrow to start this build off.
 
What are some good off and on trail skis. Started to gather parts for this build and wondering what skis work good matched with a 144 track.
 
have to second the stretching out to 144
i have a piped viper out to 144 with a set of simmons skies and lover it off trail and it hooks up great on trail no darting and floats great

also have a couple vipers out to 136 with simmons skies and they both work great too
there motors are stock and i feel they ride and drive very well
only reason i went out to 144 on the one sled is the engine has alot of mods and i was looking for the most traction i could get at the time of the build
 
Thaks guys, whatever im going with Im going to get a white ski and a red loop. I think that would look sweet on my sled. What width do you think i should go on the skies though?
 
Another vote for Simmons as they work fantastic with my 136" cobra setup. I've also heard a lot of good things about SLP powder pros. Supposed to be great on the trail and float very well, kinda like my Simmons.

so how do you like the Cobra track with the 136 skid??I think the Cobra lugs are a tad higher then the 1.25 ripsaw.Do the lugs stand up better then a ripsaw?My ripsaw 121-1.25 has had a lot of torn lugs,really don't like that track at all.I actually took a sharp utility knife and trimmed all the lugs to 1 inch so they all match.

Blue the wife and i put just about a 1000 miles on our 1.352 cobra's this winter. This was riding on ice, loose snow, groomed trails, pavement, gravel, trees, you get the point! They were awesome. THey hook up great and they look brand new still. No torn lugs or wear. I was worried about how they would hold up as there were some mixed reviews but i couldnt be happier.

If you look a pic of the lugs the base lug is probably 1.25 then they have a extra cup like part. So you do get a true 1.35 lug height above the track base.

We are running 3 of the 1.25in ripsaws on two yamahas and a cat. Not a single lug has broke off all three with over 2k on each track. Wonder if you got a bad track blue.
 
well I do tend to pin it alot..lol..Heard of others who had the same thing going on with their 1.25 ripsaws..kinda like the Cobra as it looks more aggressive ..

I was going to look at getting one for my sled but they dont make it in a 1.25. But i did get a deal on a 144x1.25 ripsaw for 335 brand new. To me the cobras seem too soft in a way. Got to check one out on a sled a few weeks ago and the lugs bend over real easy. I do like the design of them though, looks like they will really bite.

thats the idea,they are the same tensile(strength as the ripsaw) but softer or more flexible and with the cup design they really grab great.

thats what I mean.The ripsaw cannot take aggressive riding,and I am not about to ride only 30 mph and take corners slowly.I need a track that can take the roughness out there,flex and not break.I like the concept of the Cobra as it is explained in link I posted..Sure wish Kimpex would make a good 1.25 or 1.3/8 lug track because you cannot tear there lugs.My Kimpex 1 inch still looks new as the day I installed it,and that was over 2 years alreay,still all intact..
 
I have seen a ton of ripsaw tracks and can tell you the one pictured above was abused. Likely spun on pavement, or in the rocks. While some tracks tolerate this better than a ripsaw, they all can be torn up.
