Well I took the skid out today and ALL the bearings
were good. Only needed shock bushings for the middle shock.
And as expected the W arm was cracked so I welded it.
And finished studing the track.. Well almost, I have to buy a few new ones.
Cleaned up the engine bay alittle and polished some aluminum, still need the paint the pipes.
and I got my new clutch loaded up, cleaned and ready to go.

The clutch was rebuilt at the yammy dealer in Bobcaygeon about 3 years ago ,where were the gouges in the sheave faces ? Maybe the guy blew a belt on it cause they were perfect when I sold it to him . Miss that sled already and would buy another in a flash but I kinda like the ride of my Nytro and Apex .

Ya he must of done it then. The only thing I can come up with after a little research is that a spark plug fell out of the holder.

Holy shit , sure wasn't like that when I sold it I would have replaced that ,mind ya the guy who bought it was a ski doo guy lol , anyway the pipes look great , probably easy to shine up cause my son polished them every time it was brought back inside to thaw out and waxed it too !

NICE! I love that. I might have to copy that cable cover idea if you dont mind. That looks sweet. What did you use to polish?

Do it! Put on the ski savers and the shims that come with them and it will handle awesome and last for years.O2viper700 said:After looking into it I think I wanna try 6 inch triple points.
Somebody convince me

I used this to polish the aluminum

Works really good, a lot faster than most aluminum polished too

Will 6 inch be enough for 144 studs down the middle?

I used 8" with a 144" x 1.5 lug track and it turned fine so I think with only a 121 it will turn fine with 6". But call Bergstrom skegs and tell them your setup, they will tell you exactly what you need.O2viper700 said:Will 6 inch be enough for 144 studs down the middle?

X3 with musselman here. I only use bergstrom tripple points. I run 8" with ski savers and shims on all my sleds. They are amazing. I will never, and i mean never, run another carbide as long as im riding. I use the 8" on all my sleds and i dont run studs. This is on my daughters 121", and both my 144" sleds. These sleds handle like on rails. My daughter still runs stock skis. Even my xtc runs these with stock viper ski's and they are awesome. Well worth every penny.

They do work awesome. Got some for the wife's sled last season, along with the shims, Like a whole new sled. They attach to the ski before you put your carbides on.
