600 Twin - Looking for better throttle response

I'm having problems removing the clutch. I bought a puller after multiple failed attempts at the water method. But this sucker is stuck on there! Any tips to loosen it up or keep torquing on it?

Also - The secondary, it has spacers / thin washers on the bolt do these go on the shaft side or bolt side of the secondary?

If water method failed soak it with jb80 and use a little heat. When I do the water method I use boiling hot water and I usually have to do it about 3 times then bam it pops off. Make sure you warp the puller really good with Teflon tape when using water method or with out water method it helps.
Washers go on bolt side.
 
Here is one of the weights. Can anyone identify the weight by that number? Also I'm checking for flat spots is the spot my thumb is on considered the flat spot? All 3 are like that but it looks factory to me. The rest of the weight is smooth.

If this isn't the 8ab weight referenced is it worth buying 3 new weights for this sled? Hard to find and are about 40 a piece.

I'm thinking I may just clean up the primary really good and throw it back on.

I loaded the primary with grease from my grease gun and the clutch popped right off. This was after I bent the puller on the first try. Or If it's cold Enough outside you can fill with water and let it sit in freezing temps overnight. It will pop off overnight.

And your neighbors won't call the cops. I live in a trailer park and done it the summer and they called and said there was shots fired. LOL
 
If water method dont work (easiest and cleanest) ive filled with hydrolic fluid and let it sit on its side overnight then tightened her down good to get it to pop. Like above a little heat can also be a friend
 
They are carbon fiber and are Carbon Tech. I don't believe they added much if anything. Seat of your pants diagnostic isn't very precise. But they do improve starting and made it/them run smoother.
 
Hey guys got to ride the sled a few times while we actually had snow and she was rippin! Definitely an improvement. Now I'm stuck with what I believe a dead cylinder issue. Just started happening. I put a fresh set of plugs in to try and fix it but no go. The engine runs and idles but there is zero torque in the low end. Mid to High end was better but now it just sounds like it's running on one cylinder. I pulled the plugs and found the pto side was wet and the mag side was carbon and dry. I'm thinking it's a coil right now but wanted to get your opinions. Is there any tests I can do? Was thinking of pulling off the mag plug cap to see if she dies. Thoughts? I think that both of your plugs fire at the same time. So........

1. Pull both plugs but leave them in the caps.
2. Have someone pull it over slow enough so you can observe both of em spark at the same time.
3. Once you have confirmed this, just swap the wires around and see if the problem follows. If so then yes it's the coil.

If your filter looks like that, change it. When I took that one off I dropped it on the bench and pieces of the filter media sluffed off onto the bench. The same thing will happen when it is running ...... Sucking shtuff up into the carburator.
