I was actually right about where you were Mike in the "jump" shot, only about 1/2 mile back towards the Tetons and looking the other way. My friends wife sent us to Tog for our 30th B-day present. I saw those cliffs in the background (angel?) and had to do a triple take........let me resize some more pics so you can see for yourself.

Couple more of the same jump looking in the other direction, only me this time (yes I landed the 1st one)

Depends if you work for the lodge or not.......we weren't supposed to jump the rentals.

Hard to compare the power because I have never had my MM over 5000 ft. The M seemed a little doogier than my SLP piped, reed spacered, peak headed 700, but I ride around 4000ft. max. It also had a horrilbe bog on the bottom. We tried changing the belt and the mechanic didn't seem too impressed when I started the "lets play with the 2ndary and try to get rid of it" talk. I did get them to hook me up with a bar riser. I know our guide had a 600 RMK 144 that would not go the places that we could on the 153's. Overall not bad, but next time we are going to drive out so we can thrash on our own junk (and not have worry about that $1000 deductible on the damage waiver). Oh, and my 6'4" frame is waaay too used to the my highrise flattop.

Awesome photos...I wish I had taken the time (and a good digital camera) to
get some action photos. But there were only two of us that rode the entire
time we were out there. The other 3 went skiing at Jackson Hole 5/6 days.
And the rental situation, I have a great story about that! The day that everyone
did go riding, my brother ended up smashing a rental into my buddys sled.
Well, he did not have the $715 for a replacement cowl, so I had to put it on
MY credit card. What are brothers for, right? The #$%&* still hasnt paid me
back. We are going again in Feb of 2007, cant wait!

Wow, I'm soooo not getting much work done today if I keep this up.

The camera is key. I use a Nikon D50 with a Sigma 300mm lens. Not so expensive that I am scared to ride with it (plus I bought the extended service plan) but good enough to give great shots and fast(2.5 per second). I have a couple of point and shoots but it is nearly imposible to get action shots with the delay. I wear the camera on my chest in a weatherproof tamarac case. I have landed hard enough to have NIKON permanently imprinted in my chest (not seriously, but pretty hard), and no problems yet. Here are a couple more.....

oh, and photobucket knocks these back to 512kb. The full versions (jpeg, not RAW) are closer to 2mg each. Much clearer and way better color.....

dont bother stopping, the pics are amazing and well worth your time :) I like em at least! keeps me sane as the snow is GONE and I raked my yard last weekend :(

nben is that you coming off the lip? that is an insane drop with the double hump in the middle.

nben, some real nice shots there. Does the D50 write everything to memory or do you miss some stuff that you shot??
