power valves..no big deal here.....

Hey they were $39.00 each for my SXR,so I am happy.By the way got my Tach going last night.Hot wired a line from CDI to first connector past primary on the line end that goes to theTach. So there must be a wire broken somewhere and I ain't ever going to find it.I re-routed this wire and protected it good.

Good atleast you got 'er going, did it work when you first got it??

The only problem I had with the 2.5 gap is that its hard to hold the caliper and keep the gap equal on both sides. Like if you let go you may have 1mm on one side and 3.5mm on the other side. Also I just rebuilt my top end and when I put the valves in I felt them and they were not all even. Not too bad but as soon as I get my new doughnuts in the mail my pipes are coming back off and Ill readjust with the flush method to make sure. Just curious if anyone else had the same experience.

use 2 2.5mm allen wrenches,one on each side,very accurate!!!!!!!

are you spying on me daman. That's what I used this evening to adjust my valves.Anyways took cables and valves off to inspect. Center valve cable looks like it is just starting to wanna pull thru, still some life left in it.Can't push the cable back to remove. The cable end is sort of flattening out into the grove on the top edge of the valve. It slowly works it way out this way I guess.Only 1/3 out ,still usable for a while.Guess I should pick up a cable and a spare valve or two.Got my new exhaust donuts in,the old ones were really deformed already.Spread the loops where the springs attach to back some on each pipe and manifold. This gives my springs more pull pressure. Started it up and it is good to go,all donuts are sealing good.Man is it ever nice to have a Tach working. The one that came with the sled didn't work.Bought one of viperlover from a 2001 SRX and it is working.Gonna plug in the other one just to see if it would work now.But it is blue tipped connector, the working one is white tipped connector. Finally got sled ideling where it is supposed to.Tommorow will see how my clutching and rpm's are from launch to WOT.

Well at least you didn't have any pulled like i did... :o|

but she's all back to gether now and adjusted right and filled with nice
new Amsoil interceptor..:)

well got a couple of pv cables and 1 pv assembly coming my way. Will change the middle pv (#2) and cable. Will try to get the cable off the pv valve that I am replacing. It is still good, only thing is the cable has worked it's way into the slot on top of the pv and can't push it back out.Want to get that cable off and save the PV.Tried with pliers, gripped the cable just above the PV and tried pushing the cable back and out,but it wont go.Any tips to get it off without doing damage to the top of the valve?

Put the pv in the vice(easy) and find somthing thin like a real
small flat blade screwdriver and push down in the grove on the cable
end(may have to tap it) then work on pushing it out of the valve

HEY CAN YOU HEAR ME,THE srx IN THE BACKGROUND.i AM IN YOUR BACKYARD DOING DONUTS. i LOST CONTROL A BIT AND SMACKED INTO YOUR srx SITTING THERE.cAN YOU HEAR ME,PINNING IT AND GOING THE OTHER WAY.lOOK OUT YOUR WINDOW,NOW YOU SEE ME NOW YOU DON'T.
(SRX PINNED ALL THE WAY BACK TO CANADA.)bY THE WAY,i JUST BORROWED A COUPLE OF YOUR pv'S,HOPE YOU DON'T MIND DAMAN.lol
