Gas Prices...

65MPG with 49cc of raw Japanese muscle! It'll go 40 with a good tail wind. I just need to find a place for my, "My other Ride is Your Mom" bumper sticker and i'll be all set.

Because theres nothing like handing the cashire 2 dollars and saying, "i'll be back for my change."

 Thats awsome!!!

my wife rides an 82 cm250 custom honda (the rebel before it was called a rebel...) and it gets nearly the same mpg with a lot better speed lol!!! it was free too, and chicks dig free stuff ;)

that pic of the moped reminds me of: fat women and mopeds are all fun to ride till your friends see you......LOL!

sad thing is, thats all we are gonna be able to afford to drive soon, I wonder what the top out amount will be we will pay for fuel,6,8,10 bucks a gallon ??before theres an uprise??

Gas not the only thing to worry about.Look at the stock market and the panic is starting to happen.I am going to have to pull all my mutual funds out and go to GIC's because I have already lost $15,000 in the value of my funds. At this rate, retirement will a hard time to deal with.As the panic is driven, more people will loose out big time. There is still a prediction that towards the end of this year, the world is going to see such a tumble in the markets, worldwide, that the world has never seen before. This is just the beginning and the worst is yet to come.Paper money won't be worth anything.Whoever has gold or silver will survive.A crash is coming and is a matter of time.People will not afford to drive when gas hits the ultimate.Things will start to go backwards. It may become a horse and buggy world again.I don't even want to think about it because it won't be pretty.

Not sure how it is in Canada but anyone in the US under 50 better not bank on Social Security because there might not be any there when it's your time to use it. I'm sure we will figure something out, we always do. Kind of a hijack to the topic at hand. :offtopic:

well one thing leads to another, price of fuel goes up will lead to other problems and so on and so on.Everything is basically connected one way or another. When one sector is effected, another will also be and it is like a chain reaction. The world as we know it can change dramatically and how we live and consume will change.I know that when gas hits $7/gal,my driving habits will be altered.Remember to as fuel costs rise, transportation costs rise, everything you purchase rises and we are all hit in the pocket book.Buying a new sled certainly won't be on my priority list.I already lost enough money in my mutual funds that I am watching every penny now.I want to retire in comfort to.

dont know how you save for retirement at the current cost of gas in our lovely little country,117 a litre right now, equals over 5 bucks a gallon.discusting seeing as how we are sitting on the largest oil reserves in the world.

hey ..without fossil fuels, this world could not survive.I tell you,the horse and buggy is coming back one day.As there is less and less oil in the ground and more demand for it..the price has to keep going up until it is all gone.At least with a horse,I don't have to waste energy plugging it in.I don't have to change oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, trans. fluid, wiper fluid.Get it a little straw and I am on my way.The exhaust my smell a little more, but that is the price we all have to pay.Now that would create work then.We will need a whole bunch of pooper scoopers to clean the streets.See...and if you NOS these horses, may gain a little more top end.LOL

I could hook up 160 to 200 of these horse's to my SRX and really move.I have the land,so straw would not be an expensive fuel.Have horse will travel, shit will fly....lol

I'm SORRY if I offended anyone with my HARSH WORDS.. i suppose my father would rather PUNCH me in the side of the head than explain things to me!!! So MAYBE I have picked up the PUNCH in the side of the head version of HOW TO GET MY POINT ACROSS????? i tell people to go to WALMART and buy the YAMALUBE for $6.00 a gallon versus going to the YAMAHA dealer and buying CITGOLUBE for $18.00 a gallon!!! people STILL buy YAMALUBE from the dealer.. WHY???????? I just dont get it!!!!! (did you get the little PLAY on words???? ) ( I thought it was QUITE FUNNY).... needless to say,,,, ( but I STILL NEED to say it,,,,,) GO BUY CITGO 2 stroke oil for $6.00 a gallon if you PREFER YAMALUBE!!!! if you REALLY want to talk about refining and refineries,,, we can DO THAT TOO.... Do a little research on BP WHITING (indiana).. the BIGGEST PRODUCER in the UNITED STATES!!!!! ( just MY OPINION)

We could also talk about LEE IACOCCA and chrysler corporation,, if you want to talk about another GENIUS!!!! BP FELL on a GOLDMINE when they bought from AMERICAN OIL (AMOCO)!!! What ever happened to SHELL and the apartheid?????? Do you REALLY want to get into that..... Did you ever hear of a VENEZUELAN named CHAVEZ????? and YOU REALLY go to the store and SUPPORT YAMALUBE and CITGO????????? I PERSONALLY wouldn't URINATE on CITGO if THEY were on FIRE!!!!!! (let alone buy a gallon of YAMALUBE!!!!!)

Werent we talking about GAS PRICES????? WHO brought up refineries?????? Who brought up YAMALUBe and CITGO????????? I'm sorry,,,,,,, MAYBE I NEED some pills????????? I think it was ALL THE PILLS (ritalin) in the 1970's that GOT ME THIS WAY in the first place!!!!!!

NOSBOY - I honestly think it was people like you that built this country - keep shakin' the tree buddy!! ;)!
