Heres the bike i am buying in Spring...

well, because the fastest around the track isn't usually the cbr1000rr. Also, it is usually the slowest of the literbikes from 0-60, 0-100 and other noticeable stats. But, and this is a big but... The cbr1000rr is very forgiving and easier to ride fast. Hondas have a notorious quality of being a littl bland to ride, aka, no "edge" to them. Not that that is a bad thing, but a normally slower rider can run quicker on a honda than other brands. The hondas are well known to bea easy to ride to the limits of craziness easier.

I was just at Cedar creek the other day. I should have taken a look at the repsol they have. they also had some pretty good deals now on sleds. an 09 switchback 800 (non dragon) for 7200, plus set up and oher bs.... But that is a sled with an msrp of 10,199.

We have to pick up a new snow helmet for my GF, I will take a look at the repsol in back.

yea, if you could that would be cool, just make sure you are looking at the 07 they have not the 05.

are there stats on how bad the honda is compared to other bikes, i'm beginning to think that it looks bush leauge to be on a honda now. as long as it scares teh shit outta me when i'm not expecting it then thats what i'm about, i don't want a scooter when i could have a real rocket.

but then again i'm not a race track pro who would really notice all those "differences" with 0-60 and 0-100 times. i think i'll leave it at that. Didn't wanna sound like a cocky asshole.

There is nothing timid about the cbr, it just is a honda, so it does not have n edge like all the other brands do.

If you ride one, you will see that there is nothing bad about a honda. They are just so refined that they inspire a lot of confidence.

That is not a bad thing at all. Just different.

When i was looking at getting my bike, I did try a Honda superhawk 996. it was a nice bike, but one ride on a TLS and I knew I had to have it over any vtr....

When do you plan on going to cedar creek horkn? i can maybe go too and we can both take a look at it. I've never yet looked at it in person yet.

Before Friday:) The Gf will need a new lid before then:)

I am free whenever, due to my former employer thinking they can sell aftermarket parts with nobody to buy the parts . LOL

I kinda am enjoying my time off and collecting unemployment. I'm getting a ton of crap done that I never had time for.

I will PM you my number.

Tom

Seen alota bikes there in the dealership, I have my eyes on the repsol, its always been a bike that i wanted... Sucks they had the repsol in back where i could not see the bike all around... But a good thing because no one knows its there, haha.

Joe

There is also a silver / black 04 CBR1000RR at the Yami/ suzuki dealer at 33 and 144 in West Bend. It has 13,500 miles on it, but is very clean. Cleaner than the 05 repsol at Cedar Creek.

It was nice meeting you yesterday.

Tom

yea, i was at glenn curtis not too long ago and did see the silver black cbr1000rr,i did check out that bike last year and did test drive it, not a fan of the color tho just my opinion...... I was just at cedarcreek again today, just got back haha, They got all the sleds put away and the room is just filled with bikes, that 07 is comin out next week, i'm hoppin on this bike within two weeks hopefully.

after a full day of thinkin about it, i decided to forget about the repsol, they have a 2005 cbr1000rr all black with a pipe for 7 or 8, the way i see it, i'd be paying 2000 dollars more for the repsol graphics, and the fact that it has 400 miles on it no biggie... those bikes can rack up the miles i think?, my buddy who met me at cedar creek sold his 94 cbr 600f2 with just over 25,000 miles on it,

Heck I put 45000 on my 78 KZ1000, and it ran like a top when I sold it.

I know of guys with 70k on their sportbikes.

I say good choice on the lower $$ CBR. The color scheme IMHO isn't reason to buy a bike. Plus it had no warranty, just as I thought. Now if you collect bikes, then maybe. How many miles on that 05 black CBR?

the one has 12,000 miles for 8000 bucks, and the other one which is the same year (2005) had 1,600 miles on it for 8000 bucks, imo the one with 12,000 miles should be less then the one with 1600 miles, The one with 12k miles has a yosh slip on, not sure if it has a full pipe on it, but it has flushmounts and eliminator kit which the other one does not.

Horkn, I was in there again today to look at those used 05 1000's. Big mike then pointed me in the direction of a brand new 2007 cbr1000rr for the same price (8000.00)with zero miles.... i got approved for the loan and will be picking it up in a two weeks.

Good deal!

What color?

Hey I just noticed that motorcycles did make it into the new bill that was signed, so the government will help you out a tad because the bike is new.
