Now that's what I like to see....creativity!!!! Very nice work. Looks like you've put a whole lotta elbow grease in that one and it paid off....GOOD JOB!
You might want to do a search on clutching, 9000 rpm is probably 400 to 500rpm too high without tripple pipes,.I think horsepower peaks at 84 to 8600 rpm on a stock 600.You are loosing power revving that high.Clutch it for the right rpm and she will work great. Turk is another fellow Manitoban who is great with clutching. Nice looking sled though, are those ohlins on the front?bluemonster1 said:Here is my 2001 SX600.Bought it used. Re did a lot of work on it.Put in Rip Saw track 1 1/4". New jackshaft and axle bearings. All shocks re-built.Blue shield.Head gasket mod single layer.Reed spacers and Carbon Fibre Reeds.Replaced bent trailing arms, tightened up front end and added some blue paint.Heated visor connection done also.Replaced broken clutch spring, can't believe I drove it like that at 160 km/hr.Replaced wrong size belt. Put some running board blue lighting strips. Replaced stock headlight bulb with brighter one.She revs out to 9000rpm.Run water wetter in cooling system also.Did silencer bore mod .SHE RUNS GOOD. Don't have a chance to open it up anywhere yet,not much snow around. What speeds are some of you sx600 riders getting, would like to know please.
