the square mount worked...... I still want a second opinion!!!!!

I am going to venture into the head gasket mod when I replace the head..... we fixed mine just till the snow melts!!!!!! I HOPE......

I am also planning to do the reed spacer mod..... one of my reeds has 2 slightly open flaps the other 4 are good enough.....

most important to me was to get it back to stock so I knew it was right!!!

THE HELP AND GENEROSITY OF TRUELY AWESOME PEOPLE IS THE ONLY THING THAT MADE ALL THIS POSSIBLE!!!

THANK YOU!!!!!

I have been fallowing this from the beginning all I can say is there no other site like TY where others will step up and help a fellow member get back out on the trail.

I have been on other brands sites and all everyone did on those was say "sorry" or "sucks to be you" and "HAHAHAHA" this shows the true meaning that all of us on here are one big family.

I wish I could of contributed to this but I am on the non-smoking side.

Awesome job make sure that you double check everything fluid levels and nuts and bolts and make sure and break it in correctly and check your jetting. NICE JOB

This is a GREAT read and I'll add my congrats to you guys for stepping up to the plate and helping out a fellow sledder.Nothing sounds any better than to hear that engine fire up after a rebuild and nothing looks any sweeter than to NOT see any leaks ;)! .Well done EVERYONE.

Let it warm up for 3 or 4 minutes before hitting the throttle or you will be tearing into it again.

This has all been so awesome...... what an amazing community of people, I definately feel like part of the family now!!!! I look forward to being able to PIF in the future!!!!!!

I just did one lap around the lake and Im letting it cool down....... clutch feels much better back to stock, need to reinstall the belt guard but being around all Petes machines I had to rub it down and polish it first....LOL, got a couple bolt I need to install and tweek a few things yet but OH MY GOSH IT FEELS GREAT TO BE ABLE TO SQUEEZE THAT THROTTLE AND KNOW ITS RIGHT INSIDE AND OUT!!!

well...... it died......

everything was fine running great smoking like crazy at idle....

the idle slowly started dropping, I tried to adjust it but couldnt quite get it right. then it just died....

if I choke it it will run but idle really high, might be because I was messing with the Idle before......

????????? TOYS ARE FUN!!!! THATS WHY WE HAVE 'UM!!!!!!!!

Did you clean the carbs with spray carb cleaner and blow out with compressed air before running it?This is very important at the start of the season and even more so after a rebuild.

This sounds like a possible icing +/or dirty fuel condition.
You could , + probably do, have water in your fuel, if so the water could have migrated through your fuel system and finally frozen in your fuel pump and/or carb float bowls + jets. If possible get the sled in a warm garage over night, drain every drop of fuel out of the sled, clean your carbs again, get some premium fuel from a busy gas station, add some gas line anti freeze[Isopropyl alcohol] and try it again.

Also check your fuel filter in your tank, and ensure the fuel pump pulse line is attached properly.

Hope you get it sorted out!

With the ethonal added fuels we have today they suck moisture out of the air[hygroscopic] and accumulate in the fuel, hence creating all kinds of issues for sub zero use, both in our cars + our toys.
