1st Sled Purchase Nightmare Gets Worse!!!! Please Read!!!!

the bearing closer to the counter balance seems to have a little play.... thats the one making a bad whirring noise when it spins....

can you check them by feel or is there another special tool???
 

the bottom case is completely wasted!!!! marred and pitted like crazy!!!

I think the only good part of the lower end might end up being the crank......

the rods have no sign of impact...... I really really think this guy tore the motor down, saw all the signs of a complete piece by piece rebuild on the sled he had just baught and decided to make up a story just to off it.... piston slapped it and hope it holds long enough the buyer lost all his info!!!
 
if he was trying to make it last long enough why would he use pistons that were too small???? I dont think they would be any cheaper......

what takes a 74.2mm piston????

there is play in the bearing on the right in this pic

there is play in the center piece between the 2 rods but the bearings on either side feel good. is the center piece just a spacer??? you can see the 3 pieces im talking about in this pic all the way to the right...

probably the outside bearings on both ends.... the flywheel side might be ok, but im pretty sure the clutch side are scrap!!!!
 
well.......... Im doing pretty good.....

I rode for 8-10 hours.....................

I have put in about 12-13 hours working on my sled that "was just rebuild" I sure am glad I babied it!!! lol

I scraped together $200 today..... thats my budget so far...... not even close yet!!!

Im selling all my other toys if anyone likes RC cars or Paintball guns.....LOL
with out large bearings it is $631 retail for everthing but my price is $454 dollars. the bearings are 160 dollars a piece. does not include cylinders or head. also will need spark plugs oil and a little patience. i will help you with the rebuild.

Thstorms, I also have a clutch puller that should work along with a puller for the mag. If you want to get them off before you go and see Pete. I also live in Portage, MI near the Austin Lake Public Access.

so whos the member that stared this by selling the sled with the junk motor? it would be nice to seperate the awesome good natured ones that are here helping a fellow member!!!!!!!!!!! from the crooks

x2, I feel bad that it happened to you, but now imagine how you feel about this situation...would you really want it to happen to someone else?
