If you think you might have CDI issues.

the video doesn't help much, my wires are in good shape got good grounds, because if not it would be harsh through the whole run right? mines just top end and someone told me it could be cdi because mine runs better cold than warm and he says warm heats the cdi box up and it doesn't run right

what do you mean by running? idle is at about 2000, runs 7000 rpms till 50 mph, then drops to 4500 rpm, and 45 mph

What weights (in your primary) do you have,
What is your secondary spring color and wrap set at?
What is your secondary spring color and wrap set at?
Sxr700Bandit
Triple Piped 700 Triple
The primary spring may be broke or out of spec and is letting the flyweights close the clutch fully causing your top end rpms to drop. Springs are about $20-25. It is also possible that the secondary spring may be weak and causing your problems. The reason why I am saying this is, is srings do and can get weak over time as they are always under constant stress.

how do i tell the weights and how do i tell wrap set? i think both my springs are black...
Your weights have a number on the side on them, your springs are all black but have colors brushed on them on the coils. For example my primary spring is all black but has an orange stripe then a pink stripe on the next coil and then another orange stripe on the coil after that. Your secondary spring will most likely have only one color brushed on it, ex. mine is green.88 yamaha 570 said:how do i tell the weights and how do i tell wrap set? i think both my springs are black...

hey guys, i took my sled out for a ride today and it went up to 50 mph and dropped like normal, i wanted to see what the fuel line was doing so i took a look at idle and it was pumping fuel great, then i hit the throttle a little and held it and the fuel went through for about 5 seconds then a big air bubble goes through, then back to fuel then back to air every 5 seconds and it seems to do that at high speeds, goes fast for a few seconds, then slows down, then speeds back up and slows down, you think its because of the pump? i also went back to br9es instead of the 8es
