2001 Srx 700 8BU-10 Setup

the machine screw and nut that hauck sends in the bu-10 kits weights 5.5 grams. not sure if they use others that are differant or not.

well lets start to open up this topic again. How many of you are going 8bu-10 this season???? I know it is early for testing..but lets get together here when the time is right and compare setups and help one another so we can take out them 800 doos and cats this season..My main goal this season is to take that 800 Mtn. Cat and spank it..lol/He has over 30 HP on the SRX..but in the right conditions,,if I can jump on it..I should do ok....

I will be drfinatly be running my 8bu 10s again this year got a little more time to dial them in this year. Got them pretty good last year. cant wait to try them with my new mrviper700 "cleaing job" wink wink...

I am setting the SRX up with stock setting first..since the beginning of season snow ain't so great.Once I have the sled running the best with it..will take notes. Then on same day, same temps will switch over to the 8bu-10 clutching and see what the difference will be then. Then I;ll know if the 8bu,s really make a difference or not.....if not..then will be selling them.....

"Wink wink" just a little trail port to get past the fatherin laws apex. Out with it yammie...the anticipation is stressing me out...lol

needasrx..... I probably gonna like them..so you can't have them.lol.I am sure they will perform. Can't wait for a good day on a nice packed snow on the River to open it up..that will be a while because winter is not showing up so far.Long range into middle of Dec still no snow and warm temps..bad season and short season this time around..not impressed.

same here, but we are out on lake Winnipegosis fishing with 6 inches of ice. My SRX it getting a new top end job done I have the heads off right now and the cylinders still have the crosshatch visible, my comp was 90psi in all 3, I'm going to take the crank out and check that also, I have mag seal that is leaking a little, I can't wait to get it back up and running at 100% ;)!

I still have to go through my clutches also I think I'm not getting all I can get from them yet still need more testing :o| .........LOL

Had my srx out for its first test and tune since the new trail port. Felt strong but was over reving to 88-8900. Same setup as last year

Blue bender spring with shim
8bu10 loaded 4.5 4.5
Dalton 50/38
grn @80

switched helixes just for a laugh to my bender 50/38

Hits 8500 bang on and no higher. All helixs are clearly not created equal. not to say one is bad but one of the two of them has a different angle. seemes to work good but as always i still think there is more i can do.
