I don't care about back shift. I'm not looking for a trail setup.modsrx said:work alot with them but backshift is horrible
I said I wasn't going to be running stock gearing. So I told you about what gearing I would be running. I don't want to run 110mph in 1000' I want to run 115mph in a 1000'YAMMIEGOD3:16 said:WHAT ? I POSTED TO YA TO USE STOCK GEARING 1.65 ratio. and you come back with 1.50 ? (scratching head here ) 3:16 (yammie tony)

just thinking here.....if you gear for 115mph w/1.5 ratio, you might work the sled too hard, where it won't fully shift and then you prolly won't see the 115mph anyway. i would run tony's suggested 1.65 stock ratio, if it were up to me.
Once the sled is done I'm going to leave my current setup in it to see what it does and that runs stock gearing but I have probably 20 different setups I'm going to try and some of them will be with taller gearing.mopar1rules said:just thinking here.....if you gear for 115mph w/1.5 ratio, you might work the sled too hard, where it won't fully shift and then you prolly won't see the 115mph anyway. i would run tony's suggested 1.65 stock ratio, if it were up to me.

You don't think it is possible?? Do you wanna see the results from the NSSR events around here?? If you aren't running atleast 110-115 in 1000' you might as well stay home!!YAMMIEGOD3:16 said:115 IN 1000 ? I REALLY LIKE TO WISH YA THE BEST OF LUCK TO YA. 3:16 (yamme tony)

lol Don Pizor? Ask him how they do it. Lol 10,000 grand later...
Unless you plan on spending big bucks and 1000s of hours tuning you might as well look to get 105. Stock not a cheater...
I've gone faster than that with my sled in trail stock form.bojisrx said:Unless you plan on spending big bucks and 1000s of hours tuning you might as well look to get 105. Stock not a cheater...
I heard you talk about going to fairbolt to race? DId you go this year how ever you spell faribault
No the only run I made it to this year was Center City. I've about went broke with my trail sleds this winter. 2 blown engines takes a toll on the pocket book. Next year I hope to be out in full force hitting as many runs as I can trying to get the sled dialed in so I can run the NSSR series the following year.bojisrx said:I heard you talk about going to fairbolt to race? I've seen some of your posts about speeds you have been running at radar runs and not to be mean or anything but there is alot more left to get out of your trail stock sled.bojisrx said:Unless you plan on spending big bucks and 1000s of hours tuning you might as well look to get 105. I ran 89a10's my first year lake racing the srx and when i started speed runnning.I think I got 106 out of them in 1000ft.The 8bu's are faster just gear way up like i told you.The 89a10's have the same profile weight as a polaris 10 series weights.
Ryan I am deffinitly going to try your setup!! I just have some other setups in mind that I want to try also. You never know what is going to work best in your sled. Worst part is I'm going to be doing testing with 2 different riders on it. Me and my brother inlaw he is just a little sh-t and I weight about twice as much as him so I will need a good setup for when he can ride it and a good setup for when I ride it. The clutch setup that ran best for me in trail stock form I have never heard of anybody else running it or close to it.pro116 said:I ran 89a10's my first year lake racing the srx and when i started speed runnning.I think I got 106 out of them in 1000ft.The 8bu's are faster just gear way up like i told you.The 89a10's have the same profile weight as a polaris 10 series weights.

Haha
Srx700guy... really i have won every event that i have entered in mn except okoboji, ia were i got second to rick b. my trail sled runs 5.8 with 22/38 gearing lets see you get your sled get those times??? And you say 104 you hit. so have i with a stock set up. Only thing i did what tighten the limiter straps and the transfer rods and lowered the front. 20 min set up.
i live in Okoboji, ia bring your sled down anytime and we'll line um up.. 500 or 1000 or 2000 you can pick. Or not but im just hear to get faster like anyone else is and ask question when i need them. It seems like every thread that you post on you just wanna say how great you are and how unfair everyone else is ??
I didn't even do that! Just like it was ridden on the trail.bojisrx said:Srx700guy... really i have won every event that i have entered in mn except okoboji, ia were i got second to rick b. my trail sled runs 5.8 with 22/38 gearing lets see you get your sled get those times???
