Father and daughter viper project!!

chris did you snowcheck a sidewinder or viper?

Got a viper LTX-LE. The sidewinder is awesome but at this point way more HP then I need. This viper and shock package is what I've been wanting for 3 yrs now. I love the 16 and it's plenty fast enough for me just can't find any 2016 LE left overs. 0% financing from Yamaha on 16's now. I've rode enough of the xtx's now to know I like the LTX. Plus dialed in they work good enough off trail for what I need. I'm going to try and put a 1.6 cobra on it through the dealer depending on if I can make a deal.

Day 2 in the books. Got the engine out so a lot of cleaning to do. It was a bit more work then i thought but know the second will be easy.

Second engine out, piece of cake! WoW are these sleds dirty and i do a fairly good job of keeping up on cleaning the belly's. Now i dont take engines out every time but still. Power washed ebeths belly pan, looks awesome just forgot to take pic before putting cleaned up engine from anitas in it. But looks good and will be back together and running tomorrow i hope. Then on to ebeths new sled!!!
You aren't messing around. Looks good. I ran out of ambition for working on sleds when it turned 70 degrees out.

It makes clean the shower a snap too. I just told the wife when we were thinking about buying it that the floors and showers would be spotless. Never told her my ulterior motives.
My wife knows better. I bet the first thing she will say is "you bought that for cleaning sled parts didn't you" lol But she would still love to have it but it will probably be in the shop more than in the house.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!! We did our easter yesterday so it was just the wife and i at home and 60 deg and sunny. So back to the project, got the rest of the sled torn down. Once again another viper reduced to box's!!! LOL!! Wrap prints ordered to see how our color choices will come out then to order the powder coat to match. Were still sticking with a mostly satin black with touches of the wrap colors thrown in. Back to work tomorrow so cleaning and stripping of parts to come.

Happy easter! Keep up the good work! Must be nice to have a kid that share your interests:) i just love to read viper related threads, such an awesome sled :)

Well got the prints back for wrap that Elizabeth liked and what colors ect.... She was going for a purple, blue, pink look that is popular now with the lady sledders. Google purple, blue sled wraps and there are some sweet looking wraps being done. That being said this project is on a budget so we made some color changes to a viper edge wrap and it turned out pretty cool. This way she can keep a lot of the Yamaha blue intact on sled and bring it into the look. Doing hood and tunnel in wrap then most parts Powder coated matte black with purple rails. Maybe some pink thrown about. Most wraps have no "color" rules these days. What do you guys think?
