Father and daughter viper project!!

Well we finally got snow!!!! About 6-8" last night. Got all the sleds fired up. Here are some pic's of elizabeths sled. Man did it run great. Gotta love e start. Not even 8 sec into the first try and vvvvaaarooooommmm! she came to life. All (most) of my worries on if i got everything back together right are gone. Fired right up, once the fogging oil cleared was flawless. No overheating and i let her run for a long time. Track and drive smooth except for some hyfax clicking (forgot to bevel the back edge of the hyfax when i cut them down) oh well. No leaks, no bubbles in coolant bottle, and the reverse was perfect! ect.... ect.... ect.....! Just a big sigh of relief!!!! Now just bring on the real snow!!!!!

That turned out awsome Chris!! I'm jelous we haven't seen a flake yet. I hope mine works as well after all I did to it!! I guess I'll just cross my fingers!

My gf loves the sled, she's pressuring my into doing something like that for her. You should paint the hood white with pink decals and ditch the blue viper seat for a boss.

I like the white hood idea but we wanted to stay somewhat true to the blue! I would love boss seats for all three. Just cant do 3 new ones and used ones are like gold! Thanks for all the great comments guys!

Hey Chris,
Glad everything went off without a hitch. All of your hard work (both of you) paid off! Great job! She looks about as happy as she could possibly be standing on her new sled. I am however very jealous that you guys got snow. We're still looking at above normal temps around here for the next week atleast. I guess It'll come eventually but.....
Again, nice work to both of you. :letitsnow :letitsnow

That viper looks great out in the snow ;)!. I'm jealous of that snow, we only have a dusting right now and it will be a couple weeks before the sleds come out.

Not sure it was installed when i bought it just no protectors. Mis spoke myself in that post. It was the protectors i installed. But the viper and the SRX use the exact same large rear heat exchanger and protectors. The protectors said SRX/viper on them.

All the hard work FINALLY got validated this weekend. Got a nice ride in with some great friends of ours and their kido's. Elizabeth loved her new sled and she out rode the old man by far. If anyones in the gaylord area keep a look out for my back and knees cause i left them on the side of the trail somewhere. Had awesome snow, waist high in the woods and trails were in great shape. Elizabeths sled ran like a top. No problems except a lost spindle cap and a banged up ski from a small mishap but all good. Paying more attention to the boy's then whats in front of her (lesson learned). Watching her ride with the best of them was worth it all. I didnt even know she could ride that well. LOL!! Few pic's of the crew, 8 yamahas from 97 to 09. The last pic is of john, his daughter cloe, and me. She is sitting on the bank from the plow on the fire road we were on. All new snow, it was waist deep and nice riding.

Looks like i need to trailer my sled and go riding around gaylord. We didn't even get two inches from that storm this weekend. Looks like you guys got a nice ride in.

Great pics Chris. I'm so glad you guys finally got a chance to get out and for Elizabeth to get to enjoy the work she put in also. I know she spend a lot of time on that sled too and it turned out awsome. She should be proud of herself. Gil

looks great! glad you got to try finally! I, on the other hand, went mountain biking yesterday. didnt even need the studded tires, it was all bare ground. our trails do NOT look like yours lol!

Great job on the sled. It looks awesome. I just pick up an 04 viper for $100 plus a hand gun i paid $500 for. turns out this thing is already immaculate it just needs a new track. Major score. Oh ya reverse and e-start on it. Your thread has given me some good ideas on what to do with my sled. just not pink lol
