Yea like the 1998 V-max 4's with power valves and quads.

Oh what the heck....our VMAX 4s didn't + don't need the power valves anyway...just another maintenance item that would contribute little to the ultimate Yamaha sled.

When racing the 1000cc+ Cats/Polaris, + SKI DOOS I used to loose half a sled length or so out of the hole but was always 3-4 sled lengths ahead[minimum] at the end of 660'...horsepower is speed and my MOD 866 had more then enough of that!!!! If I had power valves on my Mod VMAX4 I would of just locked them open anyway.

Cleaning PVs are child's play and would have gave plenty to a stocker, would have been awesome IMO..

For trail use they would be nice...I still have a 136", ported, Aaen piped[180++++hp] 96 VMAX 4 we use to haul the Ice fishing sled and it would be nice to have Power Valves for bottom end although this 10,000+ mile sled is like the "MayTag"... just top up the fuel and oil and "Driver Like you Stoler!" year after year after year...you have to own one of these sleds to really get them.

Thats a nice setup. The Mfg (yamaha) sent out top end kits with cast 699cc on the side but real 800 bore?

Are we still looking for a Factory 800 SRX sled?

Those top ends where factory race parts from the 01 race season and never intended for public use and as for the Factory SRX 800 it doesn't exist. Just the power plants.

A true ultimate big bore sleeper with castings and all. Be careful what SRX/Viper you race in the Glen Ellen,IL area cause chances are you are going to be racing a trail version of the factory race sled and there's no 780 on the planet that will run with one of those 800's.

I bet it is him.

He probably has to take up his dirty business up on Ebay now. He screwed over way too many people.

That has to be him. He works on boats (saw the boat prop) and has a Shelby Mustang

correct....he worked w/my uncle for years at OMC and has a gt500. he tried selling me parts for his gt500 before, so i could put the parts on my car. glad i never made a deal w/him on those parts too. if you see the other parts he has for sale, he has shelby parts, which would be parts for his gt500. its bill gohr for sure.

Well Glen Ellyn IL is not too far from me. I would set up a one on one appointment then I would use my phone with him there to complete the ebay transactions.

tell us how ya really feel.. haha. i know its really not funny, ive been burned before to. thanks for warning others of him. too bad, looks like some neat stuff to play with, could b e hell of a sleeper for someone who could deal with him face to face, people tend to be different when your arms are long enough to get ahold of em.

Now the question is, in 2001 what yamaha placed in 800 class that we all thought was only a 700, but really was a factory 800 top end race kit?

COULD BE WRONG BUT THAT BILL '' 800 cc '' GOHR WAS BIG KAWASAKI SNOWMOBILE COLLECTOR ALSO. PLAYED HIS GAMES IN THE VINTAGE CIRCLE ALSO. ANYWAYS THIS IS A COOL POST, I HEARD IN 1994, YAMAHA RACERS WERE USEING 8BU CYLS ON THE VMAX 4 IN STOCK AND IMPROVED CLASSES. JUST SO YA KNOW, THOSE ARE 800 CYL,s, WHO KNOWS ? 3:16 (yammie tony)

Chris,

These where never intended to be "kits". It was Japan to Yamaha's Coon Rapids race dept. and into the snowcross race sleds they went. Justin from Full power had a top end, Mr. Gilberston from Power Inc. had a top end in the early stages and the rest all ended up in IL including Justin's and Gliberstons. Highly unlikely that those Hayday results where a result of those 800 top ends. They are pretty much all accounted for.

I really don't know. Yamaha knew Ski doo was playing games at the drags, and Cat. So what would or could they do? Like Tony said.

Yamaha made a big deal of the drags adds back then, way more then sno x from what I remember
