I JUST HEARD THAT THE ARCTIC CAT XF1100 TURBO AND NON ARE ALREADY GETTING RECALLED BECAUSE REVERSE DON,T WORK. FUNNY THING IS SOME GUYS DON,T EVEN HAVE THEIRS YET. UNREAL. 13 GRAND!!!!! 3;16 (yamie tony)

because of this post I searched up arctic cat 1100 recalls and there is a massive list of problems with them apparently. such as bad paint job, sticking blow off valve, high beam switch, starter motor failures, oil leakages, engine check lights coming on, and even one guy had his engine literally split. Not a good way for arctic cat to show off their 50th anniversary sleds
 
do they not test their sleds before selling them..omg..how stupid can they be and think the consumer will accept these issues.Imagine if you had to take you new sled back like 20 times to get things fixed.....money back please..time for a Yami..lol
 
my dad bought my vmax back in 97 off the showroom floor and it has NEVER had as much as a plug change every now and then since. Im still looking in on this and there hasnt been any problems engine wise with the 800 yet.
 
Thats Cat for ya. And ya know what? There loyal owners/riders are fine with it, just part of owning a Cat. Pfft, no thanks. I'll stick with my Yammie.

Ya NOT the first time for this either. I remember when my buddy bought a brand new Firecat back in 03. Nice FAST sled but, that thing had more problems and recalls than you could imagine. I think cat rushed the sled to the market that year to compete with doo's release of the Rev. I still tell him to this day that cat needed 1 more year of R&D to get the bugs worked out of that machine.
 
I hope my girl friend doesnt read this thread. I just picked up a used 98 Arctic cat ZL440 for her to ride from a buddy. She is super excited ! The good thing is I only paid $450, it looks clean and is in great condition. I didnt think it was worth spending much money on since she is cold in the house with the heat set @ 70 degree's. I guess If she goes sledding this year and really likes it I can get her something better next year. It has a Suzuki motor so I figured it couldnt be to bad but I have no experience with sled motors. HAD A GUY CALL ME LAST NIGHT, HE FOUND A 1979 YAMAHA EXCITER 440 WITH 7700 MILES ON IT AND IT RAN LIKE A DREAM. GONNA BUY IT FOR HIS GIRLFRIEND. I SAW A FAMILY LAST YEAR OF 4 RIDING 1980 ENTICERS. I SAW ANOTHER GUY RIDING A YAMAHA INVITER. UNREAL. WHEN THERE GUYS GONNA LEARN ABOUT YAMAHA. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Wow That Sux...i Have Always Liked Arcticcat Sleds And Really Thought These 2012 Were Setting The Bar Especially The Turbos But Looks Like Not Alot Has Changed!
 
the bottom line is that they are just made plain cheap,its all about sell as many as they can and worry about the problems later.Wasn't this the same thing that happened with doo's.Man some of these owners are so loyal,loyal enough that they get burnt over and over and still say..well its better then riding a heavy Yamaha..Just remember what the Angry Ontario snowmobiler said and that should stick inyour minds forever.I wander if anyone on Arctic Chat has seen that video..maybe wake them up a little...geezzz!!
 
that is unbelievable! and in my mind not acceptable. people working on thier bran new artic cats... tearing them apart to find problems with them before they even really get to ride them. anytime i buy sutton new i do it for the reason of not having to work on it for a while. that is the whole point of NEW. what a shame... i would be bent :o| if i was one of those guys that bought that new artic crap sled..

I'm embarrased, are they really made here?

It makes me think maybe the Acats are MADE IN CHINA and shipped here and slapped with a MADE IN USA tag.... LMAO

THEY WERE MADE IN CHINA THEY WOULD PROBLEY STAY TOGETHER. I HATE CATS BUT COMMON, THEIR MADE HERE. THIS IS KILLING ME HERE. BUT THAN AGAIN, I HAD 30 YEARS AT GM, SO WHATS THAT TELL YA. 3:16 (yammie tony)
