Don't get me started. Lol. Well it's been pretty cold here all week and tomorrow it will get up to the 20s :) and some light snow all day going for a ride up north tomorrow and got to see how the old girl starts sitting two weeks and below zero temps. My guess 5 to 8 pulls maybe less ;)

Yep I'm dun with this weather, this year, it never ends
isn't it insane..man tomorrow not good weather to ride again.Today got to-3,but dropped off fast and back into the deep freeze again..man it never ends .This winter the worst I have lived thru.Highways are dangerous to ride.Got on Hwy 75 today and just sat there spinning the tires and going no where.Really stress's me out this stuff.Really cold next week as well..only -25 C for a high Monday..why is this happening this season..barely no Sun also..just plain cold.Sleds got to sleep alot this Winter, that's fine..I saved alot on fuel this time around. Now that gas price jumped back up,probably won't purchase to much from now to March.I want Spring thaw now..that is the best season for me...watching the snow melt away..

yep the Polar Vortex is further South then normal this time around. It is around the Hudson Bay area, usually it is further up near Baffin Island.Freezing cold here like crazy again. We had a blizzard all day yesterday and past -40 wind chills. Not looking forward to driving to work this am as highways and streets are all ice due to the polishing of snow from the winds.Totally hate this..

I got the sled out down my farm road toward the fields ago the local official trail. The farm road has small brush trees along it on both side with huge drifts, highest I have seen up to 5ft at least. I got stuck a few years ago in them and took a good 2 hrs to get out. Good thing I went around on the field side. But snow was blowing while over cast and I could not see where I was going. I had to stop now and then and raise my visor. Then the snows blowing on my face and in my eyes. I headed back and parked it. It was -25C into that morning which is too far to go abroad in especially alone. Its warming up this weekend coming so we'll see how it shapes up.

I don't like drifts but I heard there was drift buster in Manitoba somewhere who did. Don't know why if you get suck in a deep drift you'll end up 3ft down in one a least. If they're really a drift. No fun trying to get out when you can just only see around you when stand by the sled in it. There is no driving through it from down under just dig yourself deeper into a hole.

REALLY cold here.....ALL the schools are closed Monday & Tuesday because of it. Second time this year.

What happened to going to school.
- into the headwind
- uphill
- in the snow
- for miles
- on foot

that's what I was told when I was young my parents had to do on the farm. In Saskachewan -50 below sometimes. Oh they got to bike in the summer but them bikes did not have gears, just one and uphill was a bitch....

Was the same here, but you forgot about going uphill.....BOTH WAYS without shoes, lol

Yea.....I don't know what's up with that. Yes it's been colder than usual here the last couple years, but I can't believe that it was never like that when I was a kid. We NEVER had a "too cold for school" day. Snow days yes, but rarely. Cold days, never. Not once that I can ever remember.
I think the rule here is -20 or -25, and they call it. Only explanation I have for it is fuel in the school buses gelling or whatever? I find it hard to believe today's fuels are THAT much different than in the 70s & 80s when I was in school. Who knows?

Hell.....places in Europe, they call it at -8 because nothing starts.

Phucking cold is all I have to say!!!!!!!!!!
yeah Andy it has been an insane winter weather wise.Last year I put on 3000 miles with my sleds, this season so far maybe I have 250 miles..to damn miserable and cold.I am actually wishing for an early Spring now, maybe I could ride when it gets above zero in the mush.

Temps are warming up here this week to around -6 average for the 14 day forecast. Also snow everyday.
We are running out places to put all this white stuff. 2500+ km's and counting.
