was the primary spring broke?
^^X2. I think he's referring to the rollers, bushings, buttons etc. The wear items. You need to disassemble your clutch and inspect everything. Measure your rollers with a vernier. Give it a twist and a wiggle to see if there is slop in the bushings. The spider buttons could be wasted too. Then you'll know if you have a broken spring or what have you. I've seen them dirty enough where the movable sheave would barely slide on the shaft. Take er apart. While your at it check secondary spring, buttons and helix for wear too. [emoji4]I would recommend using oem parts if you rebuild the clutches. I used the cheap kit on primary and secondary and had to modify the bushings just to get them to fit in the clutch. If you take the cap off and push the primary in and look where the bushing sits when the clutch is disengaged it can get gunky from sitting. Might be able to clean that with some fine sandpaper and it may help. The secondary could have the same.

Make sure to buy Yamaha cam buttons. I think they are graphite as opposed to plastic. The cheap ones won't last you two days. They are complete junk.

Yes put it back together and see what it does before you spend more moneyI forgot to mention they are sending me oem cam buttons. I did not see a need for a new bushing
