hey
Been using Amsoil as long as I can remember....
Been using Amsoil as long as I can remember....
Wow,,, It sure is FUNNY reading about what I said and how I said it a few years ago.. The same rules apply ,,,but,,, it just looks differently on paper today. I suppose a few years of growing older has an effect on ones mind and memory... I still don't appreciate amsoil's marketing strategy,,,but,,, CITGO'S stronghold on YAMALUBE pisses me off TWICE AS MUCH.. It was suggested that I calm down again,,,before I get kicked off for whatever,,,but,,,, I believe what I believe and I say what I say.. If that makes me such a bad guy,,,,,so be it.....If I get kicked off for good,,, so be it AGAIN!!! what can I do??? suggestions???

I've got a buddy of mine that has over 13k mileson his sled. he has run nothing but yamalube and even a gallon of walmart oil!
At $8 a gallon it's hard to pass up the walmart oil! OEMs are all raping us on their oil IMO.

I email Citgo and this is what they told me.
Stephen,
As long at the oil you are using is a TC-W3 certified and registered
oil, then you can use it in your snowmobile.
Both snowmobile oils and marine engine oils are formulated and tested to
the same standards and must pass a very rigorous series of 9 bench tests
and 5 engine tests. These oils are formulated to stand up to harsh
environments and by their tests you know that they can do that.
All the approved and registered oils are listed on our website. Don't
use anything that is not listed regardless what it claims.
Hope this answers your questions.

Could you please give me some information on your oil. I have a
snowmobile
and would like to use the Citgo supergard marine plus in it. Some people
say i cannot and some say I can.On the back of your oil bottle it says
it
can be used for snowmobile's. I can get my hands on the marine plus and
not the sea and snow. So I would like to use it. On my snowmobile forum
a
person has been using walmarts marine oil for the past 7 years and he
has
not had a problem with it. Everybody tells me to use yamalube 2-S but it
is so expensive. Could you give me your input.
Thanks
Steve

Hello Stephen,
TC-W3 is an oil category for testing of marine oil for two stroke -
water cooled engines. (TC: Two stroke cycle, W: water cooled, 3: third
revision)
In the category, the oil is tested in 9 bench tests and 5 separate
engine tests. It is a very tough testing program so TC-W3 oil is very
very good. Although it was made for marine engines, it will also work
very well in 2 stroke snowmobile engines.
Hope this answers your question.
