Father and daughter viper project!!

Dont have one yet. When i replaced my wifes track 2 yrs ago i went with a 1" predrilled ultimate traxion. Very nice track. Its kinda in the air right now, i just know we will get her a new track. Depending on funds i may go with a ultimate again.

Just sold my AFU sled to a TY member. It had an15x121x1 Aggressor on it with a whopping 15 miles on it. It was my first ride with that track when I wreck it. He's parting it out.

The daughter was gone for the week baby sitting for her little cousins, making the big bucks while i was spending them. I got the suspension together, everything greased, shimmed and locktighted down. Skid looks great, ice scratchers and 4th wheel kit came together perfect. Also new grease zirts in and working fine. Few pic's.

Also a little suprise for elizabeth when she gets home. Went over to our local sled salvage to check on tracks. Wanted a ultimate traxion like i got for my wifes viper and wouldnt you know they just sold the last one. This would be the second track ive missed out on. Not happy i tell ya! Well they did have some camoplast trailsports for sale. Not really the track i was looking for, its a nice trail track that was discontinued a few years ago. BUUUUT he made me a deal i could not refuse. Its a nice all around track, It has .92 lugs and all windows clipped which was important for me. I was not going to buy it but he sweetend the deal by throwing in 96 woody's signature studs and backers for next to nothing. Even got a cutting bit and marker with a little twisting. So for the price of a nice used track with studs i got a nice track with studs new. Not as aggressive as i wanted but i have to remember its not for me!!! LOL!!! So now we can really get some stuff together.

I think what you are doing for your daughter is the greatest thing a Dad can do. Spending real time interacting with each other.

Kuddos to you and your daughter. You must feel very proud!!

Very proud, cant say it enough. This project has been awesome all the way around. In fact im not only proud of her work and effort on the viper, i just told her that when she gave up a week of her summer to go to her aunts a hour away to baby sit. Showed some nice maturity. She's growing up fast which makes our little project all that more special. Thanks for all the great comments guys, were getting close. Track and drive is next.

i almost dont want this build to end LOL at least not till snow flies!! you gotta milk it SUPER1C!! lol

Your in luck tip! Things are going to go kinda slow for a while now. Daughters got 2 weeks of drivers training that started today. Also the weathers finally getting hot so cold hearted lake huron is starting to warm up. We got the jet ski's out this weekend and its pretty hard to get the wife and daughter off of those. The jet ski's are my wifes favorite, im not much of a water guy unless its frozen. So she puts up with year round snowmobile talk and wrenching from me so they get to jet ski all they want. Only problem is i still do all the wrenching on the jet ski's also. HMMM, i might have to look into that! LOL!

I used to be like you too, hated water unless it was frozen. And then my aunt and uncle bought a standup jetski....... That's now my snowmobile on water and I absolutely love the lake, can't keep me out of it. I even started wakeboarding too. If you ever get a chance to ride a standup, do it. I will say they take some getting used to but there are an absolute blast!!

^^^ same here. i didnt care for water untill i rode a jetski for the first time last summer....what a blast! havnt bought one yet, but its in the plans to (some day) lol! never tried a stand up one though. sounds like a wild ride!

I have 2 jet skis (sit down ones) and I end up tinkering with those as much as my sled. They are brutal on gas. Full out for 1 hour takes 15 gallons of gas and 1.5 quarts of oil.

Well either i fell and bumped my head or the heat got to me. I was board and decided to start cleaning up the tunnel. The thermometer read over 100 in my garage and it felt like it. But a quick dip in the pool after and all is well, oh ya cant forget the cold beer. I dont get to picky about polishing the tunnel because its just too hard to keep up but i do like to give them a good preseason cleaning and a touch up once or twice during the season to keep a decent shine on them. To get any better i would have to wet sand and im not about to do that, been their done that. Looks awesome till 20min into the first ride of the year then you cant tell the diff between just a polish with mothers and sanding. Not to bad considering where i started from.

came out great!!!! what do you use for polish?

Just mothers aluminum with the power ball and corded drill. Takes a lot of the work out of it but you do go through the polish. Then buff and buff it out. The more the better it shines.

Chris--- Stoppit! I want to put up my working log on my "clean" (well I THOUGHT lol) Vipers up in the working log next to yours but unfortunately you are making yours waaaay too shiny and I would be embarrassed to put pictures up of my dirty little snakes...
