Pair of vipers go 144"

I hope so! LOL! Spec say good to way below zero. Got the idea from mrviper on his darth viper 2 project. I then googled it and found tons of guys doing the same thing with great results. Just need good prep to lay it down. So i hope i did it right. But from what ive seen so far this stuff will be tuff and work great.

Look what came in the mail today! YA ME! My hartman tunnel ext. Very nice quality and fit. Tom was great to talk to for sure. Very excited to get this going. Just have the parts laying there but its going to look awesome!

glad to see it's coming together for you. The next one will be even easier.

Thanks BTV, your running board mod will be great. This is a great idea you had, you rule :yrules: . Plus i think it looks way better then the stock boards! ;)!

Got the first tunnel installed! When together without a problem. Everything seemed to rivet together nice and true. I know a lot of people had problems getting the hose covers to line up but they seemed to go right together fine. I really like the mtn apex bumper, and the nyto tail light and i have a nytro red snowflap. Tail light not mounted yet waiting to order boss seat first for position. The only thing im upset about it the bleed screw plug for the bleed hole. On my mtn viper cooler the screw part is raised and the plug wont fit. Did i do somthing wrong? Any tips to get that to fit right. If not im just going to silicone it in place. Then easy to remove it i have to bleed. Some pics of what im talking about and the whole tunnel.

My sled is done till i order the tracks and rail ext. Very happy with how it turned out so far. Ill clean up the tunnel and fill in any tunnel holes with rivets once i get my boss seat. I will fill in the side holes from the old bumber bolts also. Also the usual skid tear down. Started the basic tear down on momma's sled today. She does not want the running board mod done so this one will be pretty simple. She like's to ride the trails with her feet in the foot wells. She's still figuring out how to ride the deep stuff (pic of that from last year) LOL!!!! Here's some pics of today! Might start on the drive and get the track out tomorrow.

Tell her that the first step to learning how to ride in the deep stuff is NOT to keep her feet in the feet wells! Lol!

Great job on the mods, looking really good!

I like that! Thats some good advice LOL! It was smokin hot and humid around here today and the tigers were on at 4 so i just tore my skid down and got it ready to clean and except the track usa rail extensions. No biggie but i did notice my slides were still like new so got those off without any damage to keep for back up for any 121's in the pack. Once i tear the wifes down ill clean everything up real good and get ready to put back together. Not sure if i should paint them (powdercoat) or not? The oem coating dont look to bad and i want to have the wifes shocks redone at the very least so that would even out or close. Few boring pic's from today. chris

Got anita's tunnel all preped and ready for the extension. Tunnel protectors off and heat exchange protectors off. I did notice that my 04 heat exchanger guards were different then the 02. I knew the 02 was welded on but not sure why the 04 wasnt. The 04 ones are the ones that look kinda like the SRX/SX style if i remember right. Anyone know why the difference? Or are the 04's aftermarket or a combo of aftermarket hand crafted a bit? The 04 was riveted only. Got the drive and track off in record time, pretty sure i could do this in my sleep now! Just waiting on another batch of the oem yamaha style double pull rivets to show up. Not that the hartman ones are not fine i just wanted the yamaha style double pull ones. Few pic's from today!

Nothing exciting today. Spent most of the day in the pool with the kids and a few cold one's. Before it got to hot i did clean the wifes sled best i could, once again id love to do a full chassi clean but no need to pull motor yet. Then broke down the skid, another one in box's. Looks like im sending in her shocks to pioneer for the four shock deal as a pair of ohlins are going for way more then i want to pay these day's. Suply and demand on those right now. I cant even find a pair of gytr clickers. I know its summer so im waiting a for a bit yet. But not much longer. Few pic's of today, nothing exciting.

I got anita's tunnel finished today, the mail man brought my rivets. Went pretty smooth and strait forward seeing i had one under my belt already. Well this build is going to hit a stand still now waiting on a few things to come through for the money to finish this project the way i want. Ill still get the skids ready and clean and polish the tunnels between now and then but next is the track and rail extensions. Few pic's from today!!

Well its been a while but got the itch to work on sled today. Ended up cleaning both skids to get ready for the extension's. Cleaned all the bearings, boggies, bushings, you name it. The dishwasher got a workout as a great parts washer again. My wife got home and said great snowmobile parts in the dishwasher again i see! LOL! But it does such a nice job! Also got my wifes shocks apart and boxed up for pioneer. Going with the revalve deal for the vipers. Will be a nice improvement for her and the price is right. The ohlins are just tooooooo much anymore. Ill keep my eye out but not worth it right now. Heres some pic's of today!!!
