Does the harman update kit, come with the hose extenrions and the bumper covers?
super1c said:Got the first tunnel installed! When together without a problem. Everything seemed to rivet together nice and true. I know a lot of people had problems getting the hose covers to line up but they seemed to go right together fine. I really like the mtn apex bumper, and the nyto tail light and i have a nytro red snowflap. Tail light not mounted yet waiting to order boss seat first for position. The only thing im upset about it the bleed screw plug for the bleed hole. On my mtn viper cooler the screw part is raised and the plug wont fit. Did i do somthing wrong? Any tips to get that to fit right. If not im just going to silicone it in place. Then easy to remove it i have to bleed. Some pics of what im talking about and the whole tunnel.

Im thinking yes. Not sure which kit your looking at off the top of my head. I got my covers from ty members but hartman sells them also. I used 1" heater hose from autoparts store with no problem to the mtn viper heat exchangers. Call tom hartman and tell him what your up to and want and he will get you what you nee. If you buy the kit, it comes with everything you need. Tunnel, hoses, covers, ect........ I just got the tunnels. I wanted the tip up rails that track usa makes. Hartmans are straight. If ya need anymore info or help let me know. Im right in the middle of this project and i read and looked up everthing i could think of to this point. chris

Good to hear gil, never seen BNL. Seen blues travler a bunch of times and they are very good. Still like the big john popper better then the skinny version. LOL! I always liked big head tod but they dont leave colorodo much, they own red rock. And if uncle cracker is in town ther is always a shot at seeing his good buddy KID ROCK. Let the fun begin!

Got some work done on the rail extensions today, very nice. It takes a bit of work with a file and some force from the vice but the fit is perfect. I really like the looks of the tip ups. I posted for some help on moving the center boggies to the end of the original rail like hartman does on their kits in the viper section. http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=87239 Let me know what you think. Got my skid together and in today. Not as bad as it thought it would be. I was very worried on how it would turn out will all the other horror stories ive read about going to 144" with rail extension. But i took my time and did all the right things. The BTV skid fix as before with all new shims. My bushings are still perfect since i did this fix a couple years ago. Also did the MRVIPER700 skid alignment. Got the skid in and it cycles through the length of travel with no binding, even sits flat on floor best i could see without ski's on right to the tip up point. Ended up taking BTV's advice and put a set of wheels on the outside of the rail at the bend. Thaks BTV great advice. Looks great. Even got a shot of elizabeth, she says hi! But now that she has sat on my boss seat she wants one! LOL! Also she said the long tacks look awesome so if she can handle one this winter ill do her long track next summer. NNNNNOOOOO money left for big sled stuff this season. This project got the best of my slush money. Few pic's of today.

Got anita's done today. It decided to be a bit more difficult but with a little help from elizabeth we got it in. Im a little perplexed at the moment. Her track is on the tight side when the adjusters are set for all the way loose. So i took the skid back out and went over every last thing and the skid was perfect. Put it back in and its still on the tight side. about 1.5 inches of hang all the way loose. I then measured both skids from front mounting point to end and they were identical. So the tracks must be a hair different on length. I did notice this track was much stiffer and harder to move around while installing skid. So im hoping it will stretch out a bit once i get it running. On a good not the new revalved shocks from pioneer seemed to be night and day from before. The skid moves through full travel very smooth and the track sits flat on the floor all the way to the tip up. So good to go there. Any thoughts on the tightness of the track other then i have to break it in a bit? Im clueless. Im thinking this track must be a hair shorter then the other one? Thanks for any ideas guys.

You wouldn't think if both track are the same brand / model they would be very different in length. How much tighter was it then your sled? Could there be some difference in the sled since they are different years? Strange problem. It looks good though!

Not all parts are "exactly" the same. One set of rail extensions could have been a hair longer, or the track a touch shorter.
As for track break in, I set my cobra as loose as possible w/o slipping on the cogs. Rode like I normally would and checked every 100 miles/every ride. I had to tighten a few times because it is a softer rubber when compared to the ripsaw so it did stretch a bit more but no more than a usual track. Good choice with the cobra, you'll love it!

Mine hangs all the way loose about 2 -2 1/2 inches. So about an inch difference. It is very strange, i know the extensions are exactly the same cause i compared them before install. All the mount points are the samr also between the 2 different skids. All i can think is the track was a bit tighter/stiffer then the one i put on mine. I guess ill just have to see cause im not swapping tracks to find out. LOL!.

Good to hear. Im hoping this one stretches or at least relaxes a bit. I wont have a problem running it like this just with the two tracks were the same. Makes me think somthing i did is wrong but havent found it yet.

The 136 cobra I got was a little tight when new but 1000 miles it has stretched out nice. As long as you can get it on, it will be fine.
Everything looks good by the way, you are doing a lot better than me lol.
