Yeah we'll move in next door BLUE... and buzz your place now and then. Morning and night just so you don't sleep to late or in to long. LOLbluemonster1 said:gonna be friggin cold here again like -35C actual Thursday and Friday.Lots of snow to ride now, weekend warming up and perhaps more snow.It is a little bumpy in places but nice riding here for the next month or so..sorry to hear about your bad winter guys...maybe your gonna have to move,They say the trend is for warmer winters in the future..so move or sell sleds I guess.Good luck.I am sure a lot of you will go water skipping, good reason to get out..
I had 9C here and just about dark at 7C. Bancroft well north of me had 9C with rain according to the weather network so its widespread.
You can bounce across those frozen ice packs. If you go fast enough it smooths out the surface, but when you really hit an obstruction you'll have a few almighty words to say.

Should have kept coming north towards Owen Sound. You were a matter of 20 minutes from the decent snow. South of Chatsworth is where we started cursing the trails and that was last Thursday night. I took out my axle that night. I went out Monday for a little tear in the rain and the trails were still good here.
We like week night riding for the very reason your cussing out the trails. Thousand of sleds land in the area and tear the shyte out of everything by Friday at 9pm.
I was out today looking from roadways and we still have trails. By the sounds of it, I'll be out for a tear as early as tomorrow night. Even some of the back roads were ice covered still.
It's currently 3c and -2wc. What snow is left on my back roof is beginning to stop dripping off the eves.
It'll be time to watch your azz's out there if your able to ride.

had no snow on the ground yesterday, now I wake up and its white again. just a skim across the top...nothing crazy
annikour said:It's not ofsc fault there's no snow
There was about a 2 foot base with hard pack snow. The trails were not groomed. Would that be my fault? Just checking.
Why doesn't the OFSC make their budget public so we can see the surplus they had from last year carry over to this year?
Good idea?

Yes especially when some club have no trail all year can at least resurface some for a better ATV experience on rocky fist size rocks on rail bed trail as in Prince Edward County, Ontario
I see the OFSC map is finally updated and the only green trail are up Sudbury way. Anything else is a unlikely hold out of a short tree to tree dart. So short LOL how they can still call it Open when you can't get to it as its closed around everywhere now.

Last week I was in Pine Stump/ Paradise area in the UP(Michigan). There was between 3-4 ft of snow on the ground! No joke, it didnt stop snowing for 8 days straight. Tons of lake effect kept comming. We rode to Curtis (40 miles south) they barely had 8in. The quick warm spell we just had should settle it down, it was all powder, not alot of base.

That did happen. 38 and rain tuesday. But yesterday we picked up another 12" up north around pine stump and temps were in the single digits this morning. So there should be a great base, with great new snow on top. And the LES machine is supposedly making more as I type.
Nobody has a report for NE of the Soo??

Early yesterday evening I thought we were going to be ok around here but ma nature unloaded a heavy rain for about 2 hours before it turned to snow.
The bush trails may have survived, but the fields were all but bare this morning.
Weve had a couple inches or more today, but even that is just blowing around.
Back to square one. We need a good dump again.

We got maybe 3 inches in the last 24 hours but it's just piled up in drifts. The winds wreaked havoc with the roads and schools were all closed, but no snow to speak of.
14 dayforecast indicates some slurries but mostly sunny. Will we get a proper winter this year? Don't think so. Already thinking about fishing.
This winter stinks!!

Yep, thinking about hitting the inner harbor and ripping a West River this weekend. See if I cant come up a couple spring feeding salmon but I'd settle for a late spawning Bow. I could use some fresh roe for the Whitey's.
Already transferred madd money from the sledding fund into the cottage fund. I have to tear down a shed to make way for a guest bunkie. Guests being the kids mainly. lol

-32 C here now..-45 windchills..still not riding but the snow is bountiful. From one extreme to the next..
We got about a foot and a half here over the last week in Central Wisconsin.
Last week about 6" of super light puff, then about another 6" of some strange lake effect-like snow.....then it rained and wiped out most of it, then about 7" of snow on Wednesday. It's currently -5 F outside, so what we have now should stay.....until it rains again.....
Seems like a vicious cycle.

I just check and the OFSC has not opened any trail around Georgen Bay or anywhere else. The clubs are still reporting them all closed and always has been even some of you say you're out riding! On what, lakes private area? But the trails are ALL closed with the odd limited machine wreckers further north.
